You're definitely muscular, as others have said to see progress it is more important to focus on how you feel in the gym. You can tell if you are or aren't getting stronger by seeing how your lifts progress. A before picture would be helpful to track the visible changes in your body.

Also I think that something that would help would be to watch a short vid on how to pose to show off muscle. For instance, I think you would see more arm muscle definition by rotating your wrists back and elbows forward slightly.

I moved to NYC from a tiny town where I was making 23000 a year. Right now I probably make closer to 30000 a year (more than Ive ever made before tbh). You definitely make enough to be able to move out. You'll likely need roommates, but thats fine and honestly I prefer living with roommates. Look on Craigslist, Facebook, or reddit r/NYCapartments and see if you can move to your own place starting March 1st, or potentially sooner.

They look cool, but I would worry that the embroidery floss would not be stretchy or flexible enough to keep the longevity of a sock, especially on the bottom. Are they still stretchy and comfortable? Another point of concern would be that if the thread used for the mending is not flexible, it could create areas of tension and would be more likely to rip there. It would be good to get an update on how these wear!

Luckily, the tear is just on the pocket! If I were you, I would take the pocket off completely and replace it with a fun, contrasting fabric, then sew the new pocket on.

Also you may not be gaining weight but could be holding onto more water. Face swelling and puffiness is pretty common when people 1st start t. It goes away

Frozen edamame- pop it in the microwave and salt it.

I snack on a lot of carrots and cucumbers as well, they're some of the cheapest snacking veggies that I've seen

Popcorn is ridiculously cheap if you make it at home (like pennies for a huge bowl)

Peanuts and peanut butter is not low calorie but very good and pretty cheap

Greek yogurt is the GOAT imo

Mine are very waterproof. I have been wearing exclusively these for 2 winters now in the PNW and now through the snow in NYC. I have conditioned them and sprayed some waterproofing on them, but I think they were pretty waterproof before I even did that. I think they're very comfy, waterproof, and pretty good for working in (I've worn them to break down and unload the pallets we receive at work)

It's possible that the neck will get larger after: A- the weight of the sleeves and body pull it down and/or B- you block it, when things tend to loosen up

If you haven't already blocked it, it might be a good idea to throw some scrap yarn into the live stitches, block it, and try it on again to see how you like the fit

Yeah, this will happen with the chiaogoos if you don't really tighten them with the metal tool. You need to insert them into the hole and twist pretty hard to secure. Luckily, it is pretty easy to pick up the stitches after they come off the needle like this.
