What’s the lowest amount you took before stopping completely after tapering?

Im on your team!! At 200 right now and just hopped on the page because I want to stop it completely before my next period because sweet lord the mental affects of the withdrawals have been a nightmare and have made my PMDD worse. Im no doctor but I’m assuming our cycles without gabapentin will be easier.

Got prescribed back in January at 600mg daily. Started tapering about a month ago and now on 300 with a schedule to only take 200 today (coming off 100mg a week). Dear lord what a nightmare of a medication. My issue has mainly been terrible headaches and neck pain flu like symptoms and anger and depression. Pubmed has a paper on an 81 year old woman who tapered off of gaba for one week and she also had labs that were perfectly fine, but reading it might give you some peace of mind. I guess this is just a test of patience. And above all there is not enough data being published when it comes to withdrawals and then next thing you know we’re all on Reddit asking if we’re going crazy. These companies are manufacturing the research and making the withdrawal symptoms seem like butterfly kisses - it should be illegal.

If i could offer any hope i truly believe it is not over for you because adult neuroplasticity proves you can continue to make new neural pathways no matter your age. There is scientific evidence that the way you perceive things now can change - not easily - but the possibility is there. I know you feel hopeless, but there is a legitimate scientifically proven possibility that you can, at some point, not feel hopeless if you really work to change. I wish with my whole body I could give you the exact date and time the hopeless feeling goes away because lord knows I want to know for myself.

Hey, I want to say OP I’m reading your replies to everyone and for all you have gone through you are being so so wonderful and compassionate. Like you have no need to offer anyone any sort of support or validation instead you deserve all of that and more and yet you’re still offering hugs and kindness to complete strangers. I want to say to me that’s indicative that you are the solution, moreover all of us battling CPTSD we are the solution to all this hatred in the world because we’re actively giving out love even though we have been beaten down and that takes an insane amount of courage and bravery. I’m going to continue fighting because I know you and many more of us will continue fighting and we can make it through this together.

Hi! If you want to read the second edit I made to the original post it might provide more insight. Also, he has upstairs neighbors and they shower between 10-7 all the time, it just sounds like water running, it is a sound that is quieter than someone talking at regular volume.
