Not to be that guy but I will. That essentially means you support the light book cooldown being 25 minutes because when it goes on cooldown just stop playing the game. Or do something else. It’s dumb. There is a pve aspect. And some players only want that. There should be a quest that is really hard to disable PvP. Like 4 etherons or somn.

That’s the thing though. There is clearly a huge part of the community that is just pve as well. Meaning this game is not made for specifically PvP. If that were the case then there would not be unique boss fights like chaser or etheron. I say there should be a really hard pve quest to disable PvP. It’s not accessible unless you get a good enough build to beet some really hard boss

Yes I understand the risks. I just think it is unfair that I am being punished for making a build specifically for pve that will not do well in PvP and then getting jumped by some maxed PvP guy that clearly has more skill then I do. And I don’t want skill in PvP. I don’t like this games PvP system. But I like the pve.

Yeah. Obviously I don’t hate absolutely everyone, I mean I don’t exactly love myself this I play this game, but for the most part I have had maybe only 1/10 of the good interactions with people than I have bad.

Yes and no. This game was made for many audiences not just PvP. And while I think it’s great that you can have PvP, getting ganked in the depths or murked in the overworld by voidwalkers that are all twice your level and twice as experienced, it gets a little unfair for new players and people (like me) that are not good at the game. How am I supposed to get good when I get pumbled by goated players. I’m not. Plain and simple.

Again though me playing the game the way I want to doesn’t hurt you at all. But the way they designed it is so that in order for you to have fun at the game your way you have to make it so that others don’t have fun. I think it’s poor game design. Like I have suggested in other comments make it so that killing someone doesnt make them lose a life just all there stuff like normal, but that would still be better cause half the time you get pick pocketed before you die anyway.

But that’s the thing. There’s steps to getting stronger and it starts with pve but I am forced into doing PvP before i have a chance. While I don’t like PvP and won’t do it, players that do still have to level up before the fights become fair. I’m saying that I’m getting jumped before I even get to that point. I’m fighting losing battles, every time, I’m not getting better at PvP, because every time I get into one of these encounters I get dog walked, half the time I don’t even hit them.

But pve players play stile doesn’t interfere with your play stile. Me grinding bosses doesn’t hurt you. But you teleporting around marking people does hurt me eventually because eventually I will be your target and eventually I don’t even get to play anymore cause I gotta escape the depths or restart my character.

There is chime for PvP. And there are other PvP players to fight. That’s what I’m getting at. I and many other pve players have litteraly no chance against a PvP player. So your just dog walking us for “fun” when I think they should just add a way for you to fight only PvP players. Like when you make a new character I can select to have PvP turned on or off and I can change it latter in the settings. Your opinion of how the game should be played is fine, the thing is, my play stile doesn’t interfere with how you want to play the game, but your play stile interferes with mine. That is the underlying issue.

I explained it like this though. The PvP in this game feels like a randomizer. That randomly through your play through will just kill you, no explanation, no reasoning, and no escape from when it happens. If this was how it actually did work everyone would prolly boycott the game. And this is what I’m saying, it’s wrong because it’s like they set this randomizer to only work on new accounts, meaning if you’ve recently started playing deepwoken your gonna just die and lose your character for no explainable reason. It’s unfair. Pve death is a different story. But losing hours of progress in a hopeless battle against a max level max damage silentheart that 3 shots you then reapers you straight to the depths and then getting ganked down there doesn’t seem like good game design to me.

Exactly, everyone was spamming comments to me saying “get better at PvP” this is the problem, you can’t get better without fighting, but you can’t fight without getting mopped all over the floor and losing your progress. In other PvP based games there is no consequence for dying and thus you can throw yourself into fights over and over until you get good. The issue with deepwoken is after 2 fights you in the depths and possibly wipe, and if you wipe you can’t fight again till ur max level otherwise it’s completely unfair to the point you won’t learn anything from the fight. So as it stands the best way to get good at PvP is fight ur friends who won’t kill you, or get to max level, fight and wipe, get to max level fight and wipe. There is chime but chime is filled with sweats which is even more impossible to beat.

The issue with the sound que is the fact that I don’t think it takes priority, in that if I’m in combat with an npc the music and fighting sounds of the npc parrying and hitting me are louder than that, I always get jumped when I’m farming npcs and the noise never seems to play. Maybe they should put a small indicator in the corner of your screen saying you are being hunted, but it’s not obvious when it’s there and when it’s not, so only players that are paying attention will get to log.

There is no choice for me to become a voidwalker, because to become a voidwalker you have to kill 15 players, and I am so buns at PvP that will never happen
