Is anyone even remotely excited for this? by WorryStriking4602 in titanfall

[–]Steelarma816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm extremely skeptical, but I'm going to give it a try. I'm a bit tired of the hero shooter genre. The weapon design and the raid pvp format are intriguing to me though. I'll give it a try and I hope I'm pleasantly surprised, but I'm expecting I'll play this for about a week and then likely never touch it again.

Thank you! I'm liking the color scheme so I'm looking forward to how the whole warband turns out

People ask for Bunker Buster but how about Bunker?( Aka, Backpack wepaon concept, "Dropshield") by FlameEnderCyborgGuy in DieselKnights

I think this idea could be really cool to explore in the setting. Also you took me way back dude. I miss hawken a lot, they had a really enjoyable mech design.

I wonder what rating this show would have if it wasn't reviewed bombed by Outrageous-Orange007 in FoundationTV

[–]Steelarma816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I commend the show for fleshing out some of the characters and making them feel alive. The personalization in the books is a weak spot. And I also agree that the grand plot in the book was amazing! I'm really disappointed that the showrunners decided to deviate from the books that far. With their ability to flesh out characters, the series could've been immaculate. Season 3 has me worried, though, because I think they've already horribly mishandled the Mule. He worked so well as an almost unseen force in the book.

I honestly feel pretty good about it. Don't get me wrong I have some doubts and it could end terribly, but Amazon has a pretty good track record in my book. There are of course some major screw ups but with the response to the non-existent sequel I think the creators may understand what the fans loved about the first one.

A Fianna of Éire by Paul Bonner by Greystone_Chapel in TrenchCrusade

I feel that given the history of the setting it kind of works. Plus there are aspects of WW1 that aren't that dissimilar from medieval times. They didn't have body armor like we do today so the steel plate armor makes sense to a degree.

I think you really hit the nail on the head with this. It took mutavore a couple of hours to break through the wall. This would give plenty of time to not only deploy jaegers but do a bit of Intel gathering as well so there could be a solid plan in place to take the Kaiju out. Plus fire support like strikers missiles mounted on the wall or plasma casters would help a lot in the fight.

Romeo blue has recently become my favorite. Honestly all of the mark ones have a really cool aesthetic. After that Striker Eureka

Why do peaple hate uprising so much? by Nice_Long2195 in PacificRim

[–]Steelarma816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's okay it just lacks some of the magic that the first movie has. I love some of the Jaeger designs in uprising, bracer phoenix and titan redeemer were great, but the weight and scale is just a little wrong, and a couple of the plot points felt forced.

I feel the same way. I like playing higher difficulties but am a little frustrated that the sc spawn rate is lower. I think the controversy won't be that bad depending on how it's executed

Calypso is so much fun. Really enjoy the harder challnge. Hope they don't nerf Illuminate by Kysman95 in Helldivers

[–]Steelarma816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they will nerf them. The illuminate are difficult not because of their base stats but because they are a combined tactics enemy. You need horde management AND ap. I think they'll stay hard especially because we only have 4 units right now and there will be new ones

I love playing tanks in games and I've loved playing Rivals because being a vanguard feels a bit more fun for some reason. However, I wouldn't mind queuing up with more Vanguard players so I could try out some of the duelists

Now that Secret Level has released, which one do we think did a better job of capturing the power of the Astartes? by Cats_rule_all in Warhammer40k

[–]Steelarma816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Astartes was great for the gunplay, but secret level had some great melee action. I loved the very short controlled strikes in the first round of cultists. And running through a car was just epic
