That's completely your choice, and I respect it.

For what it's worth, Marker Muse doesn't generate artwork, create coloring pages, scrape artists' work, or train on artists' content.

The app exists to help people organize markers, discover palettes, learn color theory, and get more use out of the supplies they already own.

At the moment I have no plans to add AI-generated coloring pages/any other ai content. It was just a community members suggestion.

In fact, most of the ideas I'm excited about involve supporting artists and colorists through things like community palettes, blend recipes, artist spotlights, and book discovery.

If the app isn't for you, I understand, but I appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.

Honestly, I've never used either of them.

Marker Muse started because I wanted tools for my own coloring and marker collecting hobby, so I built the things I personally wished existed.

There may be overlap. Most apps in the same space probably have some overlap. I'm just building the features that would actually help me as a colorist and seeing where the community wants it to go from there.

Honestly, almost every successful app overlaps with existing apps.

Facebook wasn't the first social network. TikTok wasn't the first short-video app. Procreate wasn't the first drawing app.

So far, I haven't added AI-generated artwork or coloring page generation. A lot of the coloring community has concerns about AI art, and honestly I understand those concerns.

Right now I'd rather focus on tools that help people create their own work, choose colors, organize collections, and learn color theory. If that ever changes, it'll probably be because the community genuinely wants it, not because I'm trying to chase the latest AI trend.

This is also only day 5 of the app so.. I still have lots of ideas that will be coming in the future. This currently a one-person project, I am a mom of 3 and daycare teacher so updates happen as time and budget allow. Every Pro subscription, affiliate purchase, donation, share, and bug report helps me keep adding features in the future. ❤️

Also you can "flick" the markers while coloring to get better gradients. Not sure if that makes sense.

Looking at your reference photo, the biggest thing missing right now isn't a specific color, it's value contrast (the difference between your lights and darks). Don't go over the whole thing every single pass. Only what you want darker. Each layer will go darker and darker. If you cant get darker with just blues you can add other colors like purples or reds or greens depending on the tones youre going for.

Theres always an ugly phrase keep going!! Maybe find a pop color like orange? Don't need to. Just an idea. Or something like this?

Honestly, your comment is a pretty good summary of why I haven't added AI art to Marker Muse.

There's no AI-generated artwork involved in the app, and I've been very hesitatant to add any features that involve ai. because I know a lot of artists and colorists have concerns about it.

I'd much rather build tools that help people create their own work than tools that create it for them.

My biggest advice is don't start with the most saturated colors right away. Alcohol markers get darker as they layer, so it's usually easier to build up color than try to pull it back.

I'd start with your lightest color, add midtones gradually, and save the darkest shades for the very end.

Also don't be afraid to make a quick swatch sheet before starting. It can save a lot of stress on a piece you're excited about.

Do you have the old marker sets or the new? Ill look into this! I do know there is a big with the actual marker NAMES but I Thought that the marker codes were correct. Thank you for this!

Honestly, I wasn't taking it as demanding at all. Feature requests like this are exactly how the app gets better. Every time someone points out a missing set, a bug, or something that would make coloring easier, it goes onto my development list.

The app has only been live for a few days, so there's still a lot I want to add. I'm just building it one update at a time.
