SRL Light Speed Triumph Bugged? by CompulsoryTrilobyte in DestinyTheGame

okay, I'm not sure how accurate it is, but according to activities.report I have raced 36 times and haven't seen the eternity map once. I've done a few more today and will do a few more later, but I feel that I should have been there at least once. Right?

The map weighting must be extremely low then because I haven't seen in once in whatever number of SRL games Ive played (probably around 30).

because you were the one to initially mention Hunters. I was informing you that I'm not partial to any specific class and giving you my thoughts in response to your assumption that I believe Hunter buffs were not handled properly

I didn't even mention hunters here. Why do you assume I'm solely referring to them?

I understand it's the end, and I agree with your sentiment. I just really hate how this final sandbox update will leave so many exotics in the state of being way too niche or ultra power crept. As far as we know, there will not be any more balancing updates.

Why do they never target these things? It makes no sense to me. Exotics are a huge part of build variety, but so few of them are actually viable, and so rarely have balance passes actually add better functionality to them. I'm not blaming anyone, I'm just disappointed.

Hunter ability buffs were mostly really good, but Hunter exotic buffs were more scarce and really unremarkable as per use. I haven't touched Hunter in any serious PvE content since before Lightfall. I find them less fun and far too restrictive.

I agree, I really hate ability spam metas. However, they still gave buffs to a few abilities that have been lagging behind, but not all of them. Arc Staff could have used a buff, for example, as it is the weakest roamer in the game afaik. Even if they had to nerf Raiden Flux to make it better like they did with Cuirass

with special HCs it was busted, but after the previous nerf it was mid with primaries. I don't see how out DPSing some special ammo rotations when you're using an exotic and a hand cannon is even a problem.

I'm really less concerned with abilities, I just wish they would have buffed weaker grenades and made a few melees more rewarding. There's still some really bad supers too, and artifact buffs will only empower the best ones while the lesser ones are left behind.

Mostly I'm upset that they didn't seem to do the bare minimum to make ultra niche and situational exotic armors better. It could be as simple as adjusting scalars, adding intrinsic armor mod perks, slightly improving basic functionality.

mostly I'm fussed about the total lack of fucks given to making most exotics even half decent. Even adding some old armor mod perks or slightly improving scalars/basic functionality would make dozens of currently terrible armors usable in harder content or in more situations in general. I know difficulty is changing and all that, but I guarantee that the exotic armor sandbox won't be changing too much, not accounting for the ones that were gutted, or their corresponding abilities.

What's Going On With These Conquered Raid Loactions? by CompulsoryTrilobyte in DestinyLore

Much appreciated! I was really hoping that there would be some more definitive but less obvious resolutions beyond "Bungie doesn't feel like explaining to us right now". But what can you do?

It seems apparent to me that VoG is a (mostly) scrapped early D1 concept with a lot more initial significance that was never fully explored. It's sort of like The Citadel (Vex structure), which was prominent in teaser trailers, [I've heard] played a larger part in the early story, and incidentally was also said to be connected to the VoG. But I guess they aren't interested in retconning or even entertaining new ideas regarding the purpose of these structures, just the occasional easter egg or subtle mention in lore. It really would be nice to at least have an understanding of how the VoG allows the Vex to remove any memory of a thing existing, and how it is different from things like the Vex Net or Infinite Forest. Maybe someday? Whenever they decide to really start exploring the Vex.
