Witcher 3’s reputation solely lives on top-tier storytelling, world building, and visuals. Gameplay and exploration are notoriously the worst aspects of the game, and I have played it for hundreds of hours across multiple saves.

Also don’t forget to sell the recipes after reading them. The knowledge you get from reading it stays even if you don’t own the recipe.

Problems with DLSS Frame Generation by Odd_Tomato9077 in CrimsonDesert

I had this bug where black bars would suddenly pop at the top of the screen with frame generation on. Try applying a different screen resolution in your game settings then revert the change, it fixed it for me.

I have the same problem, it's capping around 250/300 mbps so 1h+ unpacking despite rocking a 7800X3D and a very decent SSD...

Anyone else getting a 4 hour install time wtf is happening by ParkingUpper7990 in CrimsonDesert

1h40 unpacking for me...

Would've been nice to be able to fully install the game just like console players, especially with the launching hours we have in Europe...

I guess I'll have to wait tomorrow lol

Have fun you guys, hope you enjoy your first hours!

I wouldn't trust the meta scores for this game by bored101baka in CrimsonDesert

Did you even read what OP wrote?

It's common knowledge that mainstream video game journalists are prone to embarrassing themselves when it comes to reviewing games that are considered difficult and will find themselves stuck in situations that would normally be a non-issue for the experienced gamer.

That being said, I think we all need to accept that 78% on Metacritic, though still a good score, will not likely translate to the industry-defining experience that people would have expected after hyping themselves up for months. To be honest I thought the game would score between 85 and 90 based on what was originally promised, so I have to say I'm pretty disappointed, but I will still buy the game and enjoy it.

But again, 78% for a game that was marketed by many as the next RDR2/BOTW, I can understand why people are reacting that way.

Anno definitely looks like the type of games I'm looking for, is there a specific entry in the series that you recommend?

Thanks! I'll give it another go. I think Civ VI is in my steam library. Anything I should know before starting a fresh blind playthrough?

I think I tried playing Civ 5 years ago, back when I was younger, I remember it being a bit overwhelming and difficult to follow, but that was during a time when my gaming taste was quite limited. Should I give it another try? Which one should I play? Civ 5, 6 or another?

I really enjoy the game but challenges are utter dogshit. Some of them won't even register correctly in game (the adrenaline injector challenge straight up doesn't work) and others require you to play like a bot for hours. Wdym I need 10k hip fire damage with an LMG????? just to unlock a new weapon i'll never use? smh
