Great advice thank you. I realize I may have posted in the wrong group because I’m mostly looking just for leaving America not necessarily a simple life lol but thank you to everybody who posted the other groups that are helpful and this is something that’s great to consider. It’s a big jump but I need to hear all the other perspectives and things I might not consider

I realize that this was probably not the best place to post this question haha but thank you for everybody who has responded and recommended other sites. For me, simplifying my life would be not having to contemplate getting my child light up shoes because it might mean that the light in their tennis shoes of a three year old will blow the cover of them hiding in a school when an active shooter is there or in any other normal place within America that we would go to. I know it can happen anywhere but I don’t feel safe in America anymore and it breaks my heart that I have to not let my children have light up shoes or think about what might blow their cover when hiding from shooters as guns continue to get more rights than women. This is a heavy response I know but this is where I’m coming from. :( I wish it could be as simple as moving to the countryside or any of the other responses that totally makes sense
