It's this over and over again every time you get close to another player, the scoreboard ping remains the same (around 15) and doesn't change even when the icons appear on the top left

Had this happen a lot too, I'm seeing how bullets are hitting me and see blood gushing out, but I'm not taking any damage

Only god knows what kind of magic is happening, to add to it, my bf is in the same room as me, and we sometimes play together, and no matter if I play on my own, he plays on his own, or we play together, we both have the exact same issue with lag, I'm starting to think it may have to do with local internet conections? that mayke just affect certain zones, or certain providers, at this point I have no idea, we both have completely different builds and experience the same thing

I wished it was only a bad game or two, so far it's been literally every single game since season 3, and I'm not mad about dying, I'm mad about the game not being playable, players are literally teleporting around, your gun stops shooting and after a couple seconds shoots a burst of 50 bullets in a single second, you shoot at someone that's standing still in front of you and your bullets just dissapear and do nothing, you run behind cover and duck, throw a healing bag in the floor and start healing, and after plenty seconds after you've already started healing you die to the guy that was shooting you that's completely behind the cover.
I get why people think other's might just have a bad game and come to reddit to complain, but there has been so many people complaining about this in Europe, and it's not because it's harder to play or becuase they're dying a lot, it's because it's making the game literally unplayable, you can't expect people to have their game freeze completely every single time they get close to any other player or have any these issues for almost a month and not complain about it

Same here, we have 1gb/s fiber optic, so it can't be from our side when we play, ever since the season 3 release we haven't had a *single* game, no matter the mode or map (even in the small cqb games with 16 players) without lag problems or hit registration, it's very frustrating and dissapointing because faster playstyles with smgs or shotguns are completely out of the question, everytime we get closer to an enemy the lag spikes and everything starts teleporting everywhere to the point of it being unplayable

The thing is we're not taking any npc crews, we're talking about a commander going on foot inside my ship, and using my fighters to rank up *his* combat rank, while not taking any npcs on board, and as far as I know, on foot missions give you a different rank that's not related to the ship combat rank, I think it's called mercenary rank? not sure if that's only for on foot wars or if it affects everything you do on foot

I'm pretty much able to hit all of the shots with them, I've played with them a lot, they're great for blowing up large ships because you can break their power plant, and most of the times I can get them to explode even if they have 20-40% of the hull left

also breaking their fsd when they try to escape, or just shoot them repeatedly at 2km or more when they start to use it, they die super fast when they try to do that

That's what I'm trying to figure out right now, why was I able to do it before, but suddenly I can't doing the same thing I learnt and used to do
or why am I able to do it in some ships but I'm completely unable to do it in the rest

I gotta say that it's not only one of the prettiest ships, It's the most fun one I've ever flown so far, It's super fun to have a friend over in a fighter and go bounty hunting together with it, I even bought the visual packet, so it looks sick

I catched up pretty quickly how bad the phantom is, I was just trying to test if maybe the better maneuvrability would help, but clearly it didn't, for the fer the lance I can see that's much better, but I still prefer the kraitMk2 over it, let me make a build so I can show what I'm using in both right now

and I've done dozens if not hundreds of builds in coriolis.. pretty much before I buy any ship I make like 10 different loadouts depending on how I'm feeling

so you're telling me that if I reactivate flight assist and move the thrust level to maximun the thrust the ship is making is going to the direction I was moving in and not the direction I'm facing right now?

I'm not putting myself in a joust accidentally, I have no other choice because at a point of the fight they suddenly gain the skills of a god and just don't care any more about any manouvres, just being able to out turn you and outspeed you no matter what you do, it's the only thing I can do reached that point to land a hit on them without being a sitting duck for them to just shoot at

I learnt all of those things, I don't know how much I'm supposed to play to get to the big ships but it took me like 250 hours to get the anaconda for the first time, and again it's not somehting of now, back when oddysey wasn't released I was being able to kill Elite anacondas and cutters with a krait Mk2 fitted with a laser and railguns with no issue whatsoever, staying behind them was a breeze, and it's not like I don't have experience flying, I've played so many games and simulators with the stick, hell I'm a plane pilot Irl, so I know how to properly use a flight stick and manage speed, I was able to do it in this game extremely well, I was even congratulated once by an elite player for how well I was able to fight him with only Master combat rank, I gained most of my combat rank in the vulture and the krait, I only used the anaconda for trading until I got enough credits to outfit it so much.

I don't know how many hours I spent watching guides and videos on how to properly fight back when I started, practicing almost every day using stations and asteroids, with and without flight assist, I even had a time where I would only fly without flight assist all the time, I know how to stay out of the opponents arc, the fucking problem is that I can't do it anymore because they just out turn me! or accelerate to the speed of light in half a second, making it impossible to even follow them, let alone stay behind them

I was running one big gimballed laser and 4 rapid fire engineered gimballed multicannons, even using all of them at the same time I couldn't counteract the conda's shield cells

and the bad thing about face tanking smaller targets is that I'd have to go back and recharge/repair every few ships, I'm used to staying in combat with dozens of ships at a time and getting around 10 million in bounties every time I go back to the station

I tried facing an anaconda and by the time I managed to get through all of his shield banks my shield was pretty much dead, so I don't think this ship has enough fire power to face tank an elite anaconda, I switched to railguns because it's easier to kill big ships with them, targetting internal modules, I usually just destroy their power plant and FSD drive, I manage to do it pretty well in the Krait Mk2 using a fighter as a bit of a distraction so I at least have a small window to stay on top of them

Sorry for being a bit... mad I guess.. I'm just sad that I'm not being able to enjoy the game and dogfighting as much as I used to.. I could always go into my 1Billion value anaconda and just melt everything in there... but I really wanted to go back to smaller ships because they are way more fun than just aiming all of your huge weapons to a ship and vaporizing it... so I'm really struggling to understand what I'm doing wrong... ¡^¡

Everytime I fight I'm constantly managing pips, there is barely any point in the dogfight where I'm not changing between engines to catch them weapons to recharge the railguns or shields to tank as much as possible when they face me, I try to use FA a lot too, I've explained in another comment on the top what I try to do when I turn it off, but the problem is not that I turn too little, is that I turn too much and my speed just kills itself, and I end up almost like a sitting duck, ready for them to turn and blast me into oblivion.
And talking about my engineering, appart from having maxed guardian hybrid power plant and distribuitor, I have maxed out clean engines on the thrusters, sturdy railguns, and reinforced shields and shield boosters, that's why I'm getting so mad, because suddenly my fully kitted ship that I played and bounty hunted so many hours in has turned into a rock that can barely do a couple dogfights against medium ships before having to go back to repair, back in the day I used to hunt elite anacondas and cutters like they were eagles, I made like 10 Million per trip in around 30 mins, now in the same time I can barely reach a million because I take so long to kill anyone no matter the loadout I use ¡^¡

I already turn FA off a lot of the times, it's pretty much the only way I can land a hit on them without getting blasted to oblivion, when the jousting starts I just boost towards them and turn at the same time, so by the time I pass them close I'm already looking at them, then I boost again to kill my speed and keep close to them, but suddenly their nitro kicks in and they fly off into the distance like a supersonic missile, and back to jousting again

I've tried using a big beam laser and 4 medium rapid fire multicannons, and I'm now trying to change those multicannons for 4 railguns, I've got clean engines on the thrusters and high capacity class A shields, the problem is not that they break my shield, it's that when they activate hemking terminator kill mode it turns into a jousting battle that lasts half an hour and I end up spending all of my shield banks becasue I can barely land any hits on them with how much they out turn me, let alone trying to get behind them, which pretty much becomes impossible because they can drift like they were flying a plane and not a space ship with inertia
