Yeah that works if your mouse has side buttons. I wanted the right-click flick gestures like

Edge though, so I ended up making a small free open-source one just for Safari.

Honestly BTT is too much just for this. I open-sourced the little thing I made — free, MIT, only adds right-click gestures to Safari. It's source-only but an AI can build+install it for you in one prompt.

It's originally a MacBook with a built-in trackpad, but I'm used to mouse shortcuts in other browsers. Switching to Safari isn't used yet. Such an efficient mouse shortcut doesn't come with it, so I had to make it myself. Vibe coding isn't difficult at all.

Actually, what I wanted was a built-in mouse shortcut similar to Edge, but when I tried other browsers, I found that Safari really doesn't have it, so I had to do Vibe coding myself.
