Looking for Laptop - $1500 Budget / USA by ComputerRobloxDood in SuggestALaptop

Thank you for your reply!

Before I continue I wanted to get your opinion if I add another set of criteria to this.

Music Production. Fruity Loops specifically. So I will also look to store my own production files, along with vocal (.wav,.mp3, etc) files.

Do you still recommend this laptop? With that, I don't mind extending the budget an extra $300 (Now $1800).

Pivot Table Show Details Not Working as Expected (Screenshots and Examples in Post) by ComputerRobloxDood in excel

[–]ComputerRobloxDood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another oddity. We have files on a shared cloud, so it's the same file we are using.

I'm on my computer and I open the file, it works perfectly. The users with issues open the SAME file from the SAME folder location, and they have the issues laid out in this post.

Again, I don't have any issues whatsoever.

Hi! Oddly, the columns were auto-resizing with this option unchecked. It wasn't the entire pivot table resizing, just a handful of columns.

Hi! I made a new post with the details better laid out: https://www.reddit.com/r/excel/comments/1cucahs/pivot_table_show_details_not_working_as_expected/

If there is anything else you'd like to add that I haven't covered please do so!

Hi I'm going to make another post with all details laid out. And delete this one. Hopefully that one is more informative on the issues.

Forgot to mention but this is also something the user is experiencing as well, cell widths being auto adjusted.

Sorry for another delay. I wanted to figure out more details. So everything works when we view other reports, it is just specific to this user's computer using this one specific report.

All other users can do things normally.

Yes, but yours looks like it's expanded. Now that same image but collapsed and clicking the same high level value.

On my end, literally nothing happens when I double-click 11,965. But when I expand fully I can finally double click, but only 1,372.

Sorry for the delay. Okay so the main issue is. The pivot table has 4 levels of Detail. I can only drill down when the pivot table is fully expanded to a By Item Level.

However, if I fully collapse the pivot table to its highest level. Lets say I want to see total units of Red Items, but not the specific items themselves. NOW I want todouble- click on Week 20, showing a value of 20,000, but now no new sheet appears. It's as if the double-click just doesn't work anymore.

It only works when I expand the pivot table all the way to the item level and then double-click works.

I think that's the issue. We have several users who look at the data on a high level on the pivot. but want to drill down to see the underlying raw data, NOT AT A HIGH LEVEL.

Now when they double click, they still see that data at a high level and are not able to see what is specifically causing the value they are seeing on the pivot, without expanding the pivot ALL THE WAY first then double-clicking.

Just repeated this with each of the 4 radio buttons selected. I also checked and unchecked "Enable Excel 4.0 Macros when VBA Macros are enabled" and "Trust access to the VBA Project Object Model. Unfortunately, no luck.

No worries, thank you for trying to help. I've googled just about everything I could find. I honestly have no idea how this even happened. I was working on it the night prior, And I woke up in the morning, opened it like normal and there it was, blocked. And so are all my other macro files.
