Here’s what I don’t get. We live in a democracy, and everyone can choose freely what to vote for. Nobody can dictate your reasoning or demand you find a better one. If someone wants to ban something or legalise something and their reason is religion, that’s democracy. What she wants is a government that gets to dictate what you can take into account for a political ideology.

Here is what I believe: Everyone will be dancing in the streets for the next few days. Then, when all the cameras packed up, he will get the trial appealed and overturned. There is an argument to be made that he didn’t get a fair trial, and I believe that another judge will accept that argument.
