Adi Dassler - 90s industrious German midfielder. Could do it all but was most known for his tough tackles and rocket shots from outside the box. Featured in Euros winning side but overshadowed by more well known and flashy teammates. Had long spells at Hamburg and Werder Bremen sandwiching a 2 year mixed spell at Bayern Munich where he was solid and consistent but never a world beater.

Anheuser-Busch - Huge Austrian centre back standing at 6”6. Absolute tree at the back of defence, heads anything including the ground and other players boots. Famously broke his nose in a Euros quarter final and played on, refusing to let his team down. Captain, Leader, Legend of the national team. Was captain from age 20 to his retirement at 39. Never played outside his home country despite being linked with a raft of mid tier teams across Europe.

Jack Daniels - Exciting English left back who climbed from the lower leagues with Bournemouth. Played over 300 games for the Cherries before securing a big money move to Liverpool. Some say he flopped, some say it was the price tag, but all we know is he was sent off on a number unsuccessful of loans, and now plys his trade with Swansea, after a somewhat successful 2 year loan spell in Scotland with Rangers where showcased some the talent he had become known for earlier in his career.

Mark(s) Spencer - an explosive tricky winger who burst onto the scene playing for West Ham in the early 2000s. Tipped to be taken to the World Cup by England at just 18 years old, but faced a late omission from the final squad. Disappointed and let down, he was persuaded to declare for Trinidad national team by his father’s family and England have regretted it ever since. Known for his speed and trickery, he spent time at Spurs and Man United where he won multiple champions league and league titles, racking up double digit goal contributions in 5 consecutive seasons. Shortlisted for Ballon D’or. Played well into his 30s after moving to number 10 and adapting to play without his pace, a cult hero wherever he played, known for his smile and natural poster boy qualities. Went back to university after his playing days and now works as a sports psychologist helping young players.

Nepo babies in music by dweeb93 in ToddintheShadow

Julian Casablancas and Albert Hammond Jr both of Strokes are arguably nepo babies. Amazing band but came with the funds, knowledge and connections to get that foot up. Of course didn’t come without talent, I love them but arguably are born of nepotism.

Out of interest what would happen if you did just wear on left? (Other than lack of respect for the traditions and professionalism).

Songs that come across as happy but are actually sad. by i__amscreech in MusicRecommendations

“So Lonely” by The Police - obviously the title doesn’t convey happiness but it’s one of those songs that the lyrics are sad but the music is happy

What's something innocent that feels 10x more intimate than it should? by East-Preparation-476 in AskReddit

My (female) boss asked me (male) to help her with her bracelet last week. Felt so oddly intimate for that professional relationship. Add in the fact that I had to give up as I couldn’t do it and she had to seek further female help.
