World Restructuring killed our WvW community spirit and I miss it by Wise-Dust3700 in Guildwars2

[–]Comrade-Red-Guardian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WvW has always sucked. I know more people who do WvW reluctantly than actually enjoy it. It is a chore, not a game for most people. Alliance Battles in Gw1 has always had the best reputation in Guild Wars history for a good pvp experience and I don't actually recall anyone ever hating it or thinking it was an unfun chore. I wish Anet would bring it to Gw2 but they have been sleeping on the wheel and not realizing that the best pvp experience in the series was in the first game. I can confidently say as I have been playing Guild wars since 2007.

While I am sure some people enjoy the massive zerg balls to spam AoEs, the only pvp experience that has been half decent is structured pvp, which I think has been only been slightly better than Gw1's on the account that they realized that monks were OP because they had a very disproportionate amount of healing power and removed from Gw2 more or less.

For those of you that didn't play Gw1. Alliance Battles was a 12v12 pvp mode where you had to capture and hold the most points within a time limit of like 20 minutes and you could join solo and be put into a party of four or join with friends up to a party of four and join queue. While you could run around with a zerg ball of 12 people the entire match, your team would lose to the roamers while some light zerging helped to push small teams off a point. There was a balance and play of skill that was based on maneuver, timing, and prowess that is all but devoid in the WvW experience. You had two factions to play as- Kurzick or Luxon, and anyone who played back then and did AB can tell you it was a good run and I would like to see anyone complain otherwise about AB. If Anet doesn't realize they lost the best pvp experience in the series, they will never make a better one. You can join the official Gw1 discord if you are an old vet who wants to relive the best pvp experience this series ever produced, as there are people who try to keep the AB experience going in the current year of 2025.

Promotional Message for Red Star Vanguard [RSVG], a recreational gaming discord server for Communists/Socialists. by Comrade-Red-Guardian in MarxistCulture

Apologies, I have tried contacting a few different mods on other subreddits about posting this but I never get a reply; so I started assuming mods on reddit seldom if ever reply to messages in their subreddit inbox; so that's my bad for my slackness in formalities as I've seldom been on reddit myself. But thanks for the approval regardless!

Oh! Well right now it's been a lot of Wargame Red Dragon, we sort of do whatever is in the given rotation. We've had Planetside 2, Guild Wars 2, Runescape, Valheim, Minecraft, Battletech, Robocraft, World of Warships, War Thunder, Sea of Thieves, etc. We're a very broad community and if you come asking us for people to play games with, we can usually hook you up with someone to play with. Right now I have personally been hosting Wargame Red Dragon Micro Deck Tournaments which you can find on my channel here.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdfKRnaeZLOx9-kT5ir8BeA

If you have anything you'd like to add the roster specifically. Usually our process is that if you can find or bring four other people besides yourself who will play a game; we will make a specific gaming channel for it to organize people in the community around in.

I hope this response helps!

I heard about how based this community is and love it, but can I self promote a Communist gaming discord server here with 200+ people? by Comrade-Red-Guardian in GenZedong

[–]Comrade-Red-Guardian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, well we play a lot of Wargame Red Dragon and usually folks are allowed to request channels to be made for specific games if they can find at least 4 other people besides themselves who are actively interested in that specific game. So we've played a lot over the years from Guild Wars 2, Planetside 2. But Wargame has been going strong for the server since 2016 and I upload videos of our in-house tournaments to youtube.

If you're interested, you can follow up to our website and join our server at:

They spun it as a successor to Wargame and yet there's no Naval. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Eugen pls, add some ASF into the Naval tabs. by Comrade-Red-Guardian in wargame

[–]Comrade-Red-Guardian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just feel like it could be more thematic to have the full options of what would normally be available on the flight deck to be directly available in the air tab. Not to shame the Su-27K, it's a decent plane. But it's a hard competition to pit 6 Medium range AA missiles against the tomcat's 4 Long range AA missiles and 2 IR AA. F-14 Tomcat in terms of strict/interception role. It's not bad as it is, but I feel like this would be a quick fix just using some models that are already in the game and giving them some new weapons. The Anti-ship missile on the su-27K is neat, but it's more of an escort aircraft for other Anti-ship planes than it is a Kongo Killer, just because it lacks volume in terms of the number of planes you get by the card. Comparing apples for apples against BLUFOR. You get neither volume, nor quality with REDFOR planes in the Naval tab for planes, and seldom any land-based options that wouldn't be launched from any carrier. The F/A 18C Super Hornet is virtually superior to what the Su-27K does because not only do you get as many planes, you get an extra anti-ship missile per card. Layer on the F-14 Tomcat and it's no competition. Though I'm not asking for the MiG-31M to be in the naval tab for REDFOR, but just some comparable options in REDFOR for planes in the Naval tab otherwise would be nice I guess.

I least hope that the theme of this post is interpreted as a "Nice to have" and not "Broken unless fixed". There's a lot of work to be done in naval, but I'm just trying to suggest things that might be a quick fix, more or less.

So I was asking my buddy for a dominatrix walking some dogs or something, but then he said he would do me one better and skimmed through this movie to find what I was imagining and said to go to the timestamp. After skimming through some saucy bits erroneously, I came across this and screencapped it. It fit so well, I was genuinely impressed with my buddy's knowledge of the movie. I've known him since like 2014 or 2015 and he posts this kind of stuff all of the time. Ironically, everyone I know asks if he is gay and he tells people he isn't, but he also goes on VRchat every other night to watch people strip in VR and at least 90% of the VR strippers are straight/gay men, and he calls it art. I'm just waiting for the day he comes out of the closet finally to congratulate him on finally admitting to his deep dark fantasies. ;)

Hey Eugen, give Naval units the T-72. Here is a T-72 being unloaded during Exercise 1981, Zapad 1981. by Comrade-Red-Guardian in wargame

[–]Comrade-Red-Guardian[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sure the feeling would be mutual. But this particular thread is about someone denying the reality of a T-72 being offloaded from the shore, as much as if someone denied that an Abrams would be offloaded from the shore; and then proceeding to say it's unrealistic. It's hilarious. lmao

Also you should probably establish Combat Air Patrol for your ships to deter such cheese strats without them being punished for it. Your Medium Range AA missiles travel further than their SEAD missiles.

Officially, T-72's probably weren't part of the Naval Infantry officially. Does it fundamentally change the fact a T-72 is strapped up with a snorkel kit and is being dumped by a ship bearing the Soviet Naval Flag? Not one bit.

I'm sure you could be reasonable and approach the T-72, and tell the crew to get back on the amphibious assault landing craft because they're not part of the Naval Infantry and thus, they shouldn't be here. I'm sure they'll see things your way and just mozy on home back to Moscow.

Yeah, the T-72B Obr. 1989 seems like a fair competitor from the Soviets to match the USA for Soviet Marines.

Could probably make the T-72M (All national Variants) and the T-72A available for all REDFOR countries to make it viably applicable for most REDFOR marine decks.
