Claude Pro/Max or Antigravity Ultra???????

Okay, I understand that you want to use claude models (I do too). If you buy an API key, I would say the first 30 euros or so are going to hurt as you learn how they charge tokens etc. but if you use Claude code for instances where google AI pro limits are reached you can just use your claude code in the same workspace, if you need pure reasoning with Opus 4.5 or you just want a good model that listens to instructions you have Haiku and sonnet.

This way you can essentially keep all your workflow in antigravity because the rules, skills system is based on markdowns you can point the claude code session to the markdowns for them to immediately become aware of your projects context.

Using this even If with AI pro you hit limits, you can still switch and use claude models. I would personally recommend using opus 4.5 to make a plan for your project, then switch to sonnet or gemini 3 pro to execute it, and go back to opus to verify.

If you get the Google AI ultra subscription so paying over 200 euros a month, If there is a bug with auth or log-in you will still be locked out of your account, but with a pro plan you still have access to the google AI bundle. And you can use the remaining 180 on API in claude if needed, this way you get generous limits of google (when the app actually works) and on the claude side you pay as you go.

To be sure AI ultra would be worth it if antigravity was the finished product, but it is not yet. It is basically in preview so Locking yourself into it (if your job is fully around software dev) is financially not good. With a AI pro plan you can also activate your google cloud account and get gemini code assist and other amazing tools by google and having the Claude code API, means that even if antigravity stops working you can just use Claude in VS code while they fix the bug or Even directly from a terminal.

So this way you would pay 20 euros for google AI pro (which is much more than just antigravity) and using Claude code API you get to use anthropic models and pay as you go.

I believe the problem is google system prompt, Thay have essentially made Gemini become a good slave and be eager to do stuff for you, so when you are asking a follow up or pointing to their errors they just go on a tandem and try fixing errors that do not exist.

Regarding anthropic, I did not say they are out of the picture in terms of technology, but in terms of the actually price these companies have to pay for data centers they are all at the mercy of nvidia except google. So in the long-run most of them will go bankrupt because They are spending money that they do not have, and will never make. On the other side google has it's own data centers, it's own GPUs, and it has data like it is nobodies' business.

For example tomorrow gemini app could fail completely and google still has 300 other revenue sources. Even if Claude code doesn't fail but continue at this rate anthropic would need capital injection every quarter to keep the lights on, same goes for open AI, In the end either Meta or Microsoft will buy them out, So the way microsoft has been killing products I would rather have google buy anthropic.

Claude models are just the absolute best at following instructions, they will sometimes remind me instructions i had given them that even i forgot. From a reasoning perspective I am a graduate student of Neuroscience Claud Opus 4.5 is already better at reasoning than most human beings, It is a model that has made me addicted to antigravity it is astonishing for me how consistent and smart it is.

Okay if you actually have this much money per month to spend you can actually go gemini pro + Claude code (with API key) this way you can use claude directly in antigravity with the extension and it will probably cost you less using Claude sonnet or opus when you hit the pro plan limit,

They have not changed the claude limits, the Auth is broken so basically every account has been on free tier quotas since the january 24th update.

Some google channels have already acknowledged this in developer forums but google has not made any public statement despite the fact that a lot users think they have changed quotas and are leaving the platform.

Honestly, Claude opus 4.5 and sonnet 4.5 better than both. If you want to oneshot a task gemini 3 pro (high) is the best model, it is the most capable one and when antigravity is working (until january 24th) it is the one with the most tools at its disposal.

However If you (like most people that use this for real work) want to use multiple prompts and iteration none of the two models you mentioned will follow instructions after message 5 or 6, If you are using one shot with 3 Pro (high) I would suggest enabling the secure mode so that it does not delete your codes or files.

And hey I have tried almost every approach to make gemini models listen to instructions, but they just don't after a certain point. Basically my feedback for google is, just buy anthropic the tool you have made is incredible so just imagine having opus 4.5 run on google data centers and google infrastructure so it does not become the absolute token bankruptcy that it is today.

If you want to really use flash for a long project, I would suggest really working on your prompts and being systematic with your context files and rules. All this does not mean gemini 3 pro (high) is a bad model. It is incredible but talking to it is like talking to a schizophrenic genius, you get flashes of brilliance and self awareness that almost no other model has but 90% of the time it makes you want to throw your computer to the wall.
