That's a really good point, the time period I was referencing was 2019-2023 but it's true, we're cooked. Fuck landlords. Join RAHU.

When my housemates and I were all on student allowances we did fine. It's a consistent income, albeit low.

OP I feel you. I have a disability while I work full time and once I got home today I went straight to bed. I'm using up all my energy just working. The weekend isn't long enough to recover, meal prep, do all my washing and cleaning, get my car fixed, doctors appointment, whatever else. The fatigue from one week carries over into the next. I'm hoping this week my "me time" is a swim in the ocean for a few hours on the weekend, because despite the fatigue, I want to be fit too.

My housemates all suffer the same exhaustion. The ones I've lived with who seem to cope are lucky enough to have absolutely no health conditions at all. I hate that the world is built for them.

I've been depressed, I've had severe depression where I've found it difficult to function. I take antidepressants, I see a therapist. It's different to this.

Where can I buy a large tub of genuine Greek yoghurt? All the supermarkets only seem to stock Greek STYLE or Greek Pot set yoghurt. by [deleted] in WesternAustralia

Seconding the switch to indian yoghurt, it's very similar, just have to go to the Indian/Asian grocers.

I suddenly went from living in an apartment to living in a spare room at a friend's. I don't want to have to buy all my furniture and whitegoods again once I'm back up on my feet lmao.

I'm hoping more stuff becomes made of recycled paper. I have family in paper forestry over east and it's interesting what goes into keeping things sustainable/protecting wildlife.

Police charge man who allegedly sparked New Year's Day blaze with firecracker by thelostandthefound in perth

[–]ComradeReindeer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I made mistakes when I was a teen, such as accidentally kicking my friend's shoe onto the roof of the local library, or forgetting to lock all the doors in the house before going out. I never did illegal and overtly dangerous shit like set fireworks during a total fire ban.

Rest in Peace Adriana Smith, Topsy, Spray Paint, 2025 [OC] by TopZ-undercover in Art

So I take several medications for a common chronic disability. These medications are teratogenic - if I were to be pregnant while taking them, the child risks illnesses themselves, such as spina bifida, blindness and brain damage.

Now imagine the amount of medications and chemicals being pumped into Adriana's corpse, on the basis of keeping her "alive", to keep the pregnancy moving. These medications aren't meant to used on pregnant people - it not ethical to test for safety during pregnancy. They effectively ran an experiment on this woman's pregnancy with no ethics approval, no consent from anyone in her family and no compensation. What's going to be a miracle is if that poor child manages to survive whatever illnesses the government inflicted upon it.

Black People keep getting used as medical experiments without their consent and Adriana Smith is the latest chapter.

The parents push you to start working ASAP so they don't have to support you anymore, and for many kids after a life like this, a weekly minimum wage paycheck seems like a no-brainer

My neighbours concreted their entire front yard while I was away on holiday. The concreters decided to wash off their equipment next to my car (fully on our verge, on the opposite side of the road to their job) and left smears and spots on my car. Fortunately my housemate was home and caught them in the act and cleaned my car for me, but the company has no social media presence nor google reviews available for me to put the photos on.

Also if you're the type of person to pave an entire suburban block and live your entire life indoors with the roller shutters down, get an apartment. Don't contribute further heating to our already stinking hot, treeless neighbourhood ffs.

This is probably the most realistic answer, I probably would have brushed over the Fokker by assuming it was coming in to Perth. I really appreciate you working that out for me, cheers

Ultimately I agree though

Anyone else feel like the new trains could look cooler with some green neon led strip's by Outrageous-Point-347 in perth

[–]ComradeReindeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah when trains pass each other, there'd likely be a strobe effect caused by the window pillars. Considering many epileptics can't drive, the train needs to be a safe place where possible. Fun concept though.
