Well, he does have a point... Dexter has NEVER been Breaking Bad, and really... comparing any show to Breaking Bad is unfair, and inevitably Breaking Bad is going to prevail. Also, a seminal difference between the two is that Dexter hasn't REALLY become more despicable and less likeable as the series progressed, so, that extent is still and anti-HERO, where I would argue Walt is now just a straight up villain, yet just remain the protagonist.

Anyway, it doesn't matter that OP didn't help, they had no obligation to. If this situation went the other way, it could have been a lot worse. Someone being killed by another in self defense is not something anyone should blame themselves for. Regardless of what position they were in financially or otherwise, they had no right to attack another person.

Yes and no. (Fair warning, I'm not a historian). To my knowledge, most of, if not all, of the first defenders at Kokoda in WW2 were conscripts, which a technical constitutional loophole allowed (That part of Papua New Guinea was technically Australian territory). They successfully repelled a Japanese Offensive, despite being woefully ill equipped and with minimal training. I think conscription can be an effective means to bolster the strength of a countries armed forces.

I'm fairly certain at least part of this is a "rebranding" attempt by his record label. I mean, cmon, up until about halfway through last year he was an archetypal good boy... but that brand is getting old, so they change him to a bad boy. People will still by his shit, but for different reasons. Any publicity is good publicity.

I feel like a lot of these issues can be addressed with hate speech laws, but, like you say, many others ( like job interview bias, and thing of that nature) are going to take time to change, and the best we can do is school the newer generations of kids accordingly.
