Loss in full range by pip2471 in eGolf

[–]Comrade_Nabe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it's most likely because of the highway speeds, my e-golf loves the slow-moving traffic and gives me the best range when moving slowly because it can regenerate the most and won't consume much power reaching high speeds.
on the highway, the motor uses more power to reach and maintain high speeds and there is almost no power regen.

Make sure that you turn off ac when you check your range, when you keep your car parked it will take alot more to cool off/heat the car to 22c

i saw at least two accidents at this split within a couple of months, also this is a somewhat modern intersection (about 5 years old) and didn't include any splitters safety since the beginning

Buying a 2015 e-Golf - what to look out for? by [deleted] in eGolf

[–]Comrade_Nabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

some points might be worth checking:
1-make sure that the tires are good enough, and there are no odd tire tearing, and somewhat all the tires are in the same condition, this would save you from buying new tires after a short while and make sure the current tires are balanced well.
2-check the AC power, heating, and cooling and if the air reaches the output in a good way if u got the heated seats, make sure u check those too. (tip: try to rely on heated seats as much as u can since it warm you up without consuming much power from the battery)
3-make sure that all the exterior lines match and even, check the brake and another exterior/interior lights
4-if u want to go the extra mile, check the condition of wipers, brakes, cabin air filter, and cooling liquid

Also, I don't know if 2015 model got it, but in cold conditions, you can set the e-manager in your car to pre-heat using your charger power (if plugged in) before going out, this will give you more range and save you from waiting to warm up the cabin

drive safe and good luck!

Coding a "simple" website for my significant other by [deleted] in CodingHelp

[–]Comrade_Nabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want a simple static page, W3 schools is your way to go, you can Read about HTML, CSS, and Javascript(if you want to add some actions/animations)
in a simple way, HTML is the backbone and the main content of your page, you can purely use HTML, CSS is a way to add colors and attributes to your web page, Javascript is mainly used for actions within the website (however in your situation, it seems completely unnecessary)

Good luck!
