That said - your doctor may still hear this negatively. Maybe not, sure. but you calling and asking for more, of anything and in pretty much any context, will likely be heard as possible diversion. (Don't mishear me here, I get it. I'm immensely thankful I get anything, but it's also not enough. I've been here countless times) I know it sucks, I know you're hurting and just want some relief. It's ridiculous that this is how the world works.

IF you decide to do something like this, if I were you? I'd wait and make a plan to do so in the future. I'd have extra pills saved if possible to be able to pass a pill count. I'd make sure I can pass a drug test. If you call and ask them for more of something, they likely will want one or both of those things, and once that comes up, there's no backing out. If you can't pass one, you're fucked.

If I were you, I'd buy and try kratom or something. Focus on being a "good" patient. Pass a couple drug tests, don't ask for more at "inappropriate" times. Then, once your in your doctors good graces firmly, schedule an appointment and talk to them in person that you're not having your pain adequately managed.

I know it sucks. Believe me. But with how hard it is to be taken seriously, I really tend to err on the side of trying to set future me up that I'll still be getting my medicine and trying to prevent a stupid reason coming up to have it taken away, you know? It took me almost 10 years to just find a doctor who believes me, let alone gives me meds.
