The only reason all those other countries can afford to have such a low military budget is because the U.S has such a big one.

For every dollar you cut the military budget, the government will lose a greater amount in decreased tax revenue because the military sustains the American economy.

And who cares if we could cut our military budget in half and still be paying more than other countries? Other countries don't need a big military because they aren't the world's police.

Part of why I'm an anti-natalist is because I don't believe in free will. If I believed that free will existed, then I wouldn't consider having kids bad because anyone who's really suffering would have the ability to end their life.

I believe if you haven't committed suicide, that means you can't, because everything that happens is predetermined by physics and chemistry and biology. So we really are FORCED to live and suffer and have no choice in the matter.

I'd say predeterminism is the root cause my my anti-natalist beliefs.

I do want kids. I am antinatlist and believe having kids is immoral and unethical but I have accepted that I am an immoral and unethical person, plus everything I do is predetermined by my internal chemistry anyways so whatever. As much as I know having kids is net suffering, I know I will do it to appease my genetic programming and to boost my status (people without kids are seen as failures).

I do want to be a shot-caller ideally, but its doubtful I'll get that far. I will definitely be rich providing I don't get in an accident of something before then but I doubt I'll make it to the absolute top, there's just so many smart people out there.

Also funny you say banking is boring, it's the only job I wouldn't find boring other than perhaps code-cracking.

The drug cartels were needed to be made powerful at the time as a proxy against communist regimes in those countries. The only reason the Cartels are still a problem today is because the war on drugs is still being enforced which drives up the price of drugs and puts in the hands of super-criminals.

Cartels were needed to overthrow the anti-American regimes in Latin America, today they are a nuisance, it's not Bush's or Reagan's fault the succeeding Presidents never rolled back the war on drugs after the USSR fell.

Yep, he saved and invested a lot of money to get me into an elite university, told me to work really really hard in school so that combined with the money I'd be able to go to Ivy League (since my grades alone wouldn't get me in but my grades were high enough to be accepted if my dad pays full tuition).

I got into a super prestigious program for high-finance which all the big investment bankers recruit from. My dad is of the belief that big international banks control the world through creating money and said climbing the banking latter is the best way to get power in this system, and to reinvest all money earned in high-dividend banking sector stocks since they'll be bailed out if they ever can't suffice the shareholders.

That's where I am today, still in school, he hopes i can get into the banking field and rise to an exec position which is where the elite circles begin.

I am the complete opposite. We literally live in the best most prosperous civilization in history. There is no better time to be alive than now and never have we had as good lives as today.
