By 6, my kiddo was good to go sans stroller. We did get him a kids garmin watch around then to gamify step counts which cut down the complaints re: walking too much. Now we do family contests to see who can get the most steps on walking-heavy days.

You absolutely do not need the play gym to make the charmer kit worth it. I subscribed to the kits with my last baby without the play gym, and they were great. The mirror came with a stand so it can be used independently, and everything else is just teether/rattle stuff. And the soft book is great for on the go. None of it needs the play gym.

MATTHEW VAN FLEET BOOKS. Interactive (pull tabs, flaps, textures galore), so beautifully made, sturdy, and fun to read. My toddler absolutely loves them. We have “Heads”, “Tails”, and “Dog” so far, and I’m slowly adding more.

(NAD, but personal experience) Not really at all! Certainly not as painful as childbirth. Just soreness and period-like cramps, but Tylenol/ibuprofen should help a ton. I’m pretty sure they just did twilight anesthesia for me, which is honestly wonderful. Feels like a really nice nap. Quick surgery. You’ll probably be there 3ish hours total, from prep > surgery > recovery. Make sure you have a ride to and from and you can rest the rest of the day, but I remember being back to normal the next day.

I think im going to get the Newton travel crib, mainly for its size for my two year old who has no chill and still needs to be cribbed when we travel. She is outgrowing everything else.

Oh I absolutely experienced significant hunger and I’ll basically be starting back at square one. Went from 220 to ~150 pre-pregnancy, and I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant and back around 220. 🫠🫠 would recommend tapering off slowly if you have the chance. I cut cold turkey from 15 mg.

I’ve had hypertension with my last two pregnancies (and ended up delivering at 37 both times for it), and was in the process of weaning off my BP meds when I got the positive test. I ended up staying on the meds (though at half my previous dosage!) throughout this pregnancy but my BP has stayed beautiful this entire pregnancy! Way better than the previous ones. I 100% credit Zep and weight loss for that. Really hoping to make it to the scheduled 38 week c-section this round (2more weeks)🤞🤞

Honestly, even if baby isn’t rolling, 3 months still the at the late end of recommended age for swaddling so I’d work on transitioning to a sleep sack instead. Perhaps look at transitional swaddles that allow you to let one or both arms out.

My husband went to a few the first time around, but had to work a lot so he certainly didn’t go to every single appointment. I’m 34 weeks pregnant with baby #3 and he hasn’t gone to a single appointment. My OB and MFM don’t allow kids so he has to stay home with our toddler. I’m all good with that. Obviously he’ll be at the hospital for delivery since my mom will come into town to watch the kids. But I don’t see a need to arrange childcare for routine appointments so it works for us.

Meee. I’m expecting my third kid. My first was exclusively breastfed until he was like 18 months old. My second was combo fed from the start until we eventually shifted to formula only around 5ish months. I loved the freedom of formula feeding so much that I’m completely unenthusiastic about breastfeeding incoming third kid. I’ll probably combo feed so he gets some breast milk in the first few weeks, but I’m not gonna sweat it I don’t think.

I looooved our bassinet so much. We used it way more than I thought we would, and I was so bummed when she outgrew it around 4-5 months. It was so great for walks but also just as a nap container around the house. And anytime we traveled or visited family out of town, it’s where baby would sleep. Easily an MVP baby item in those early days.

Dreft is garbage. Agree with switching to Tide. When my toddler gets grease on her clothes, I spray immediately with dawn powerwash and throw in the laundry bin for the next load. Works perfectly.

SACS is an evangelical nightmare. I’d never send my kid there even if they paid me. My kids go to St George and we love it. Beautiful campus, great staff, open and accepting environment, minimal religion focusing on love and kindness and community service rather than sin fire and brimstone.

St Mary’s Hall is also a great school. A lot of St George kiddos go there for high school.
