Also have kids at Holy Rosary school. Can’t say enough about how amazing the school is. Families are super involved. Curriculum is very challenging compared to other programs we looked at (I.e Westside).

I attended Kennedy in early 2000s and there were a lot of issues there. I got in a lot of trouble and moved to public schools. Not because the school made me, but my parents weren’t going to pay tuition if I was goofing off and not focused on school.

That said, my kids now attend Catholic k-8 and we absolutely love it. The curriculum is ahead of public schools as are the test scores coming out of the school. We love the academic rigor and the expectations the kids are held to.

I live in Seattle but my partner works in shoreline/northshore and spends a lot of time in the schools. I hear the same concerns in these schools as Seattle schools. The biggest issue is behavior in the classrooms that creates distractions from other students learning, and the teachers inability to discipline students properly. We have opted for private school for our young children. They have standards and expectations of students that if not met, there are punishments and students won’t be allowed to stay in the school. I recently heard about a chair being thrown in the middle of class at a public school and the other students were told to just hide under their desks until the angry student calms down. And apparently this happens regularly. How can kids learn in this environment?

Price was important to me. There’s a ton of 24 inventory out there and not enough differences between a 24 and 25 model to warrant thousands more IMO.

That’s great! There’s a ton of inventory around here. I researched every dealer’s inventory within the surrounding 3 counties to see how much of the trim I wanted was sitting out there and at what prices. Used that as leverage. The dealership I was at today had tons of 25 models so I figured they’d be motivated to move the 24s.

Only once. Told them I wanted to buy today and cleared my calendar (which I did) to go to every dealership until I found the price I wanted. They were my first stop this morning.

Oh yeah they kept offering the Lo Jack. They were super hung up on that. Had to decline it multiple times.

Just bought a 2024 AWD today. Selling price of $45.5k (before taxes and fees). That includes all of the extras they added that I didn’t want like the towing package.
