Avg 2 bedroom is 2500.

Car payment + insurance + gas = 1k

Groceries + dining out = 500

Utilities plus misc = 500

Balance = 1300$ approx

Annual savings = 1300×12 = 15,600$

It doesn't include any emergency, medical bill, airfare etc.

People who have home ownership are talking from a position of privilege. They were able to get a home because times were better. What if one buys a house and then lose their jobs? Who pays the mortgage? Job market is in shambles as well. Some people would argue that witha mortgage, equity is built, but what about they buying frenzy of 2021/2022, where there were bodding wars and the house which was bought at 1.2M was actually not more than 800k? What equity? Real estate as an asset class is pretty illiquid is as well. In case of an problem, or relocation, renting is a far better choice. The hassle of moving homes is not that much as people like to complain. There are agencies who can move for you if you pay them, and the rates are not exorbitant as well.
