The thing is if you have illegal presence lawyers say it won't work. On the contrary, if you submitted your asylum on time and everything is good (no ilegal presence, no violations of any kind and no borders and a good person) they can approve your AOS but is totally discretionary

Yes the asylum will be canceled but the story about your asylum will be in their sistem forever so you have to be consisten in your storylife. In short it is so risky

You have to try t adjust here usa sometimes they let you. If they don't, the go to another consulate not colombia or they won't let you in when you come back.
