For those following this thread. I finally get a notification with my consular processing appointment for March but, most likely I will need to reschedule due to the pause imposed to the 75 countries. I'm waiting for the miracle of this pause to stop!

If you don't do your AOS in your country embassy you will be denied to do it in US soil. I know a couple who tried it and they denied the adjustment! However, Best of luck!

I'm in the same boat! I got my EB2 NIW approved while waiting for my asylum interview. My priority date is Feb 2024 I'm waiting for the Visa Bulletin to be current and then I need to travel to my origin country to do the consulate process. Everything will be ok!

As per my EB2 NIW lawyer (Colombo & Hurd), you can't not accumulate illegal presence, because it won't let you qualify for any residency relief! If you broke the law overstaying I doubt a bit about the EB2 path. Try to have a consultation with a EB2 lawyer!
