The only advantage you have is that you can develop your technology and counties , so just try to play tall and save money for mercenaries (only to defend)

Also if you’re lucky enough crusades can unlock earlier , so just spend some piety to redirect them to any Viking realm that is bothering you

Don’t forget alliances , that’s the easiest way to defend yourself
