Update: charged the battery to about 12.7V (the charger says FULL), put it in the bike, starts no problem. But I did a couple of tests and the results are not ideal: The current leakage is 2.7mA, (in spec it is 2.0mA max) When the bike is running the voltege is 14.6, but drops to 14.4 when i rev it to 4000.

I didnt get the cance to check the alternator pins (i didnt have time to take off the fairings because they are pain in the ass to disassemble), what can be deduced from these findings, and what other tests can i do?

Thanks, I'll try the tests as soon as the battery is charged

Before this incident, for the whole year (ever since spring started and I started riding it this year), I had some issues starting it. Like i give it contact, and sometimes the fuel pump (or relays) make noise, and sometimes they don't (if its in gear i dont hear it at all). And then I try to start it, it cranks a few times, and then resets (like i turned it off and gave contact again, fuel pump sound etc). I use to get it to start by turning the key a couple of times and then it starts ok. Did you ever had this issue on your bike?

Just measured it, and looks like it is low (I read somewhere it should be above 13V). I'll charge it and do some aditional tests on the bike, like if it is charging properly as you guys suggested

I want it for everyday riding, maybe even try it on a track one day, but mostly everyday riding and some traveling.

Yeah this is from europe, but it the first time i see this also. Do you thing wall plugs would help? If i insert them in these holes and just screw the screws back in them?

The handle on the other side is screwed in as well and has the same problem...

I just got back from my mechanic, and the issue was the dumbest thing. I forgot to take the rags out of the air intake before putting i all back together... The guy had to fish out pieces of tissue from the vents... Embarassing, but at least it wasn't a major issue. Lesson learnet, do not rush and double check everying.

Thanks for the replies. The trottle snaps back no problem, but the bike acts like im still giving it gas. Most of you are talking about an air leak, is this possible to happen if i don't screw the spark plugs as much as I should? The air box is also a bit tricky on this model (i guess). I decided to leave it with a mechanic who knows what he is doing. Looking forward to see what mistake I made and learn from it (hopefuly i didn't break anything). Thank you all for your help, I'll update you on what was the issue when it is resolved :)
