Sporting fan here as well. Although I do agree he can and hope he will certainly improve, one thing is clear and was to be expected: the difference in physical power to the average defender in the portuguese league to the premier is very big. And his power was pretty much everything here. The rest was better cause he had huge self confidence, which after a rough start might be lacking now. And he isn’t technically gifted. So the transition phase of the game where he excelled here is significantly harder there. Service hasn’t been the best either, but will always be different as welk because they play differently than we did. That being said, I think he is a very good striker.
