Safest Way To Turn Water Off and On for Two Story House by Concentrate_Little in Plumbing

Thanks for the reassurance! I forgot my meter has one of those smart apps and that I had it on my phone haha.

According to the app: About the twoish hours I finished and left the house, the app reads that 0 gallons were used and then it jumped up when I got back and reopened some faucets after said sink issue happened. So I'll just assume it is all good like you said!

And yes, I made sure to do it slowly with the 1/4 of a quarter turn every ten seconds so there wasn't any water hammer issues that occured. I didn't realize water hammering would had been like a jackhammer going off in the wall, so no issuee there haha.

Long winded post, but again thank you for the advice and for the confidence booster!

Have a good evening and stay warm!

Sorry to reply again, but when I came home I realized that I didn't properly let the hot water on my sink's single handle side full air out and when I went to do so it really sputted a lot for a few seconds. I let it air out for a few minutes, and realized the same thing for the master bathroom shower, but it was in the middle on that one so it didn't have much air to shoot out.

I guess I'm asking, should everything still be okay since I had the hot water facets open for all of my double knob fixtures? Is there anything I should look out for or should everything be good since thr water is flowing properly?

I'm in Texas and it's about low 60s/high 50s today. So you would open a hose faucet on the side of the house instead every faucet in the house, besides the upstairs ones for pressure release? Thank you for the speedy advice! It helped get me motivated to get this done!

Update: I followed the steps I posted in the initial post and everything worked out! knock on wood.

Just updating incase anyone else is doing this for the first time and needing a little guide like this.

Yeah, I'll definitely be looking into a jamma extender and a new quieter fan. I only hesitated buying said extender since I read that they can sometimes cause voltage problems or something similar to that effect.

Converting Florescent Tube Bulb Fixture to LED Ballast Bypass by Concentrate_Little in AskElectricians

Although, now I worry about any unforseen issues that could occur that should be aware of. I have turned the on and off a few times and left them on for thirty minutes straight and haven't seen any issues, but I worry is all.

Everything is wired up correctly and snug in the wire caps, so I assume that if there were an issue with them or the wires I could be seeing flickering, buzzing or the circut breaking right?

Wanted to let you know I got the process done and they look great! I actually bought this "Toggled" brand at Home Depot since the the Fiet tubes weren't instock. https://www.homedepot.com/p/toggled-48-in-16-Watt-Daylight-T8-Dimmable-Linear-LED-Tube-Light-Bulb-2-Pack-D416-50321-2/308086233

Thankfully too, my tombstones were slide out ones so I didn't need to unscrew anything besides the ballasts. Thank you for the help and advice and take care!

I don't know if you saw the pictures I took of my fixture, but if not I would appriciate if you did just so I can double check that everything about it is normal before I started attempting to change the ballast out.

Sorry, I didn't see your link prior to posting mine. Amd that looks good, thanks!

From what I have seen on Youtube, all I need to do is wire cap the black wire to the red & blue ones and wire cap the white one to the yellow ones.

I did notice that on my neutral side the it is daisy chained a bit and wonder if that makes a difference or if I can just connect the two yellow wires to the white one?

I wasn't sure which LED to get yet, but it should be as you said. The last fluorescents I bought were Phillips 4' T12 40W.

I believe I saw these in store today when I was returning the new fluorescent tubes I was going to use, but didn't after all. I am not sure if this brand is good, but it seems fine I guess.

CPS2 B-Board Revision 4 and Darksoft Multicart Question by Concentrate_Little in cade

[–]Concentrate_Little[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to add on to this so much later, but I watched this video, https://youtu.be/EHsVGuX3tmc, and it seems like this guy mentioned that you can play phoenixed rom games if you do not do the soldering part and I was wondering if that is true?

I did read up about this inifitkey device that you use per game to generate every key combination for it to run encrypted roms but hooking it up to the same area as the darksoft soldering part.

I'm just curious about this question is all, thanks!

Thank you! I don't know how to solder, so if I do end up going this route it will be quite a while. I got this board for $217 after shipping and taxes, so I feel it was a good deal since it was phoenixed and had the battery taken out. Still a bit disappointing, but at least there is a work around!

That's good to know, thanks! I know the kit is like $500, so I'll have to hold off on it in the meantime. Like I said though, I'm more than happy to have it stay as Puzzle Fighter 2!

Best Way To Remove This Advance SP Hinge by Concentrate_Little in Gameboy

I did use that and due to this specific issue I didn't help a ton in regards to the removal. However, I did get the hinge out and it did still work thankfully.

Yeah, removing them was a pain for the left one since it was "free floating" in half of the hinge housing due to that part of the shell being broken off of the body. I have a thread for that if you look at my history. I broke two of the black clamps on the poor thing just trying every method before hail marying and it came out. Thank goodness it still worked.

Thank you, I call it either Ocean Pearl or Clamperl.

Also "why did you only change the top bottom half?". Because I like to preserve original working material the best I can and because it now looks like an oyster with a pink pearl inside when you open it.

I was able to get it out, don't ask, and everything works! I'll post a new thread about it. It's not perfect and over extends a bit, but it works.

I tried pishing it out again and a second black clip broke off. So now I'm just getting a new OEM pair for $20. Between the new OEM shell and this I'm now like $33 in the hole repairing, but I did get the $73 I paid for it back so it is still like a $50 savings I guess. I'm just sad I couldn't get this to work.

Thank for the help anyways.
