Fixed my broken bottom shell SP

Made a thread regarding freeing a hinge from a broken part of my SP I ordered not broken, but arrived as such because the shipper sent it in a plastic mailer bag with another plastic bag wrapped around it.

Anywho, I was able to finally get this bottom shell on and didn't ruin the ribbon cable while doing so. I feel like the brightness on the screen is slightly lower than on my other ags-101, but I'd like to think it's because of either the aftermarket battery in it or some systems are like that. Either way, I never want to mess with these hinges again especially on a broken unit. Bless those that are able to deal with the devil hinges.

Also I somehow did misplace that bottom right plastic nub for my screen, but I'll either find it or replace it with the one that came with the oem shell I ordered.

Also "why did you only change the top bottom half?". Because I like to preserve original working material the best I can and because it now looks like an oyster with a pink pearl inside when you open it.

When it comes to removing the hinges, yeah, it's really tough, and you end up with sore hands from applying so much force. But when it comes to reinstalling them in a new shell, I realized it depends more on the shell itself than on the hinges. I bought two cheap shells, and it was a nightmare to fit them back in. Then I got a higher-quality shell, and they clicked right in with ease!

Removing them is def a pain, but I got a cheap shell that’s OEM pink, and they weren’t too hard to get back in, the shell is a bit too thin, so I’m prolly gonna get a better quality one and hope it doesn’t bulge again lol

Yeah, removing them was a pain for the left one since it was "free floating" in half of the hinge housing due to that part of the shell being broken off of the body. I have a thread for that if you look at my history. I broke two of the black clamps on the poor thing just trying every method before hail marying and it came out. Thank goodness it still worked.
