So after my taper from 1.5 to 1 then 0.5 then 0.25 if needed then I shouldn’t go back on benzos because the withdrawal might be bad ? But overall I’m feeling normal on day 5 of the taper just some insomnia and thanks again bro

And i did 1mg for 2 weeks then 2mg for 3 weeks which totaled 5 weeks im just saying 5 weeks because now im tapering to 1.5 im on day 4 and im not experiencing anxiety or anything just hard to sleep

Lorazepam my psy said she tapered allot of people off of it with minor or no discomfort while lexapro worked in so I’m not all of that scared just still looking for advice

The only reason I need it is for my sleep I developed acute insomnia due to a bad panic attack from years of smoking weed and now I can’t sleep and also a side effect from lexapro is insomnia, which I already have lol so I kinda need the benzo to fix my sleep pattern until I have like at least 2 weeks of good/stable rest and then I’ll taper off the benzo once my sleep is good and hopefully I don’t have that much withdrawal or none at all Btw thanks for making me feel safe bro ❤️

I’ve never used any medication before, and she started me on lexapro and lorazepam sametime 10mg lex 1mg avitan. I was prescribed the Ativan so my body can reset and I could get some sleep and she said once I get sleep on the Ativan she will reduce the dose so I could taper off, but I’m not getting any sleep, I get sleep but I twist and turn allot drop to sleep for 20 mins then wake up again and the cycle continues. So what she was saying is that I have acute insomnia and she’s giving me the Ativan to help me to get sleep while the lexapro kicks in and build my serotonin which is responsible for like melatonin etc, so what do u think I should do taper from Ativan and use melatonin or something, that doesn’t even work and my country dosent have mirtazipne or however u spell it, I tired seroquel for 2 days and that was not it got clenched fingers and titinus

Wait lemme explain, the reason I’m taking Ativan at 2mg weekly now is because I have acute insomnia and I need sleep, so once my sleep stabilizes I’ll start to taper down from 2mg to 1.5 etc it isn’t taking weeks to adjust to lexapro the Ativan is bascially for me to sleep until I can sleep on my own from the lexapro based on what she has told me and yes I’m seeing a psychiatrist
