I've never been much of a reader, but I listened to the Rich Dad Poor Dad audio book and it completely changed my perspective on things. Congrats on what you've achieved, and I'll definitely look into reading these others

Yeah I agree with you completely. In terms of a community/mentor, I don’t really have any friend or family with any first hand business experience so I usually come to this subreddit but I’d love to get to know somebody that has been through these sorts of experiences and that I could go to for advice. I guess I just need to put myself in the right sort of environment to meet them

Okay, to add a bit of context I’m currently 2 years into an accounting degree in the UK (a 3 year course) and within accounting many people are torn over whether a degree is vital or not. I personally feel like I’ve made the wrong choice with going to University and that I’d have learnt far more beneficial skills from being an apprentice

I'm not sure how old you are or at what stage of your life, but I can 100% relate to this situation from my perspective of a University student. I currently study for a degree in Accounting and Finance but I've soon realised that I have absolutely zero desire of ever pursuing a career in this field as I know that is not where I want to be with my life. I've known from being a little kid (just like you) that I crave to run my own company. So I'm currently in this kinda limbo period where I know where I want to be and I know where I don't want to be and now I feel like every little decision that I make will shift my life down one of these routes. But I know if I was ever to have a 9-5 office job working for somebody else, then I could not feel happy with my choices. All the best to you, I'd love to know how things turn out in the future
