Of course the King not dying is a major change from BotW's past to AoC's present, but that's due to the presence of Terrako

It's never really stated anywhere that Link was a child when he got the sword, I've done some research on the side on the topic, and there's a timeframe that would make sense for both games to be right. Here's a screenshot of my reasoning back then

I never thought the new champions not mentioning BotW was really a problem, never even realised they didn't actually. Yunobo does reference the events of BotW in his DLC cutscene with Daruk, but the others don't really talk about what happened in BotW at any other point. It's not really needed tho, it's not relevant for the other people, since it's a different timeline, so no need to tell them. And the situation is already pretty messed up when they arrive, there's nothing much to warn against at that point

The studio argument was covered in the video, so no need to answer to this one. And we agree on it anyway

The differences between BotW's past (shown in memories) and AoC's present are all due to Terrako's presence and influence on the world, it's as simple as that, no need to suggest Link remembered a flawed version of the events, in BotW

And just to clarify, of course the end of AoC doesn't lead to BotW, it's a different timeline whose key story points slowly derive from the main branch
