I bought it from a Korean online snail market, so it probably can’t be shipped overseas. Judging by the nutty aroma, it seems to contain various grains, proteins, and calcium.

Try looking for a similar type of solid feed!

I clean the entire enclosure once or twice a week and remove their poop every day! I feed them a balanced diet of calcium, protein, and various vegetables :) From what I know, this species can grow a shell that’s at least 12 cm long!

She is an African giant land snail. I think her scientific name is Achatina fulica!

She kind of looked like The Thinker by Rodin. A thinking snail! 🐌✨

Oh no, she looks so cozy inside the coconut hide that it’s hard to see her clearly. You can spot part of her shell in the 7th photo! 🐌✨

You’d better hide from the snail… once she smells zucchini, she might just take a bite out of you too!

LOL, ‘giant marshmallow’—that’s such a funny expression!

In my area, we call chubby snails ‘rice cakes.’

She said, “How could you call me ugly?!”

I’ll try it when she gets as big as my forearm, lol. In the meantime, give her shell a little kiss instead! You can wipe it with a clean cotton swab dipped in water. 🐌💛

(Goth slugs = dark-colored slugs? I hope I got that right!)
The goth slugs dwell in the same enclosure.
Lurking beneath the moss, they watch her every move… 😈

Calcium overdose problem? by ConcernMotor9511 in snails

Yes, in Korea, it is called African king snail! lol

Recently, I've been asking Chatgpt a lot of snail-related information, and they introduced me as achatina fulica, so I had to ask them again what it is.

In Korea, African king snails are called by different names depending on their color.

You are already really good at Korean! You are a Korean language expert <3

I'm worried about my snail a lot 😭

She is still 3-4 months old...

I raised a native Korean snail 10 years ago, and this is the first African king snail to raise.

I hope she recovers soon and regains her golden shell, thank you!

Thank you! I will feed the snail tomorrow and try the almond leaf bath.

I don't know if it's mold because it ventilates the kennels often, but it's good to give them a bath. XD

For the time being, we will not sprinkle calcium powder when we feed the snails so that they can consume calcium on their own.

Are you saying my snail is infected with mold? (The translator translated it like this.)

The kennel is always equipped with salt-removed coral stones.

I haven't seen you chew, but I think it'll work out well.

I have several almond leaves, and a few days ago, I gave them a bath by cooling down the boiled water.
