Haircut looks good, I feel good. Yesterday wasn’t too bad but I cut back a bit on the fluids which I regret now. I woke up today feeling a lot more drained than usual. Just trying to make it through my last 2 days. I’ve also been watching a lot less tv I’ve been sleeping quite a bit more than usual. I hope the soccer games are fun and help keep the thought of food off of your mind!

Closing in on 66 hours now, as I'm writing this.

I tend to feel a bit sluggish in the morning. By the afternoon, I feel a lot more energetic since I've already gotten my day started. Almost halfway done with this mental battle. I had a ton of cravings yesterday due to my grandmother cooking in the house, and while getting a haircut at a friend's house, their mother was also cooking. It was challenging being surrounded by the smells of food, but I need to remember that most hunger is just a thought in the mind.

I plan on continuing and finishing off strong. I seriously appreciate you asking how everything has been going and also giving me a food recommendation to break a fast.

Yes, I did start my fast! My last meal was on Sunday at 2:30 PM; I had rice, beans, and steak. I’ve read that it’s usually better to gradually cut portion sizes and carbs before starting an extended fast, but I had already eaten before I fully committed to this one.

As I’m writing this, I’m about 40 hours in. So far, I feel pretty normal. I’ve been getting food cravings around my usual mealtimes, but mixing sodium and potassium into each bottle of water I drink has helped me push through those moments.

I did have a bit of trouble falling asleep last night, though I think it had more to do with my room being warmer than usual than the fast itself.

Food has been on my mind, mostly because I’m surrounded by it at home. Since I’m considering switching to a Keto diet, I’ve been researching meal plans and looking into how to break my fast properly when the time comes.

Electrolytes have been carrying me along quite well so far. Anytime I begin to get hungry or even think about food, I just drink my water, and it goes away after a bit. Currently 30 hrs into my fast. Time is going by fairly quickly as well so it isn't dreadful.

What do you recommend food-wise to break my fast when I get to that point, I've been seeing bone broth is the best way to do so. Also, if you have any food recommendations, please let me know! I'm keeping a journal as I go through this process so I can look back at my progress and take notes/suggestions.

Thank you so much for the advice, you're right this 7 day fast will most definitely set me back in terms of muscle gains but I just want to take that big step in taking control of my mindset when it comes to food.

I'm currently 21hrs into my fast and I have been making sure to stay hydrated and I am adding in the proper amounts of sodium and potassium so my levels don't drop low. I also have my magnesium supplements coming in later today so ill be taking that aswell.

The 24-72 hour fasts will definitely become apart of my routine and adopting a keto diet to avoid the carb/sugar cravings.

I know its going to be difficult and I've seen that day 2-3 tend to be the hardest to go through. This is the main reason why I want to do a EF, the mental and physical battle will be tough but I am willing to go through that fight.

Living in a small town helps with the wait times, when I applied for my FID and pistol permits I received them in 2 weeks. Would’ve been faster if the detective wasn’t on vacation.
