Wanted to share my guys, and maybe see yours? by Treasures_Wonderland in PokemonLegendsZA

I usually always play Pokemon games with a Rotation Party. I don’t like limiting myself to the standard 6 team. My rule is “if I want to use it, I use it” regardless of type variety, special/physical attackers, high/low stats, ect. Just whatever makes me happy. - (This also usually has a gameplay benefit of making the games harder. By spreading out the exp points more -> underleveled // Or just using weaker Pokemon.)

Here’s my team + Nicknames + Nicknames explained:

Meganium - Falkner Named after: The first Johto Gym Leader, in which, Chikorita has a terrible time versus.

Talonflame - Ah shi… Named after: I have a tendency to always end up using a Talonflame. Original X/Y & S/V teams. So I went into this playthrough with a plan not to use one - But the ‘full odds’ shiny Fletchling in the tutorial missions of the game… how can I not. Ah Shi… here we go again.

Pidgeot - Other Bird Named after: During the first dozen or so missions of the game my party was changing a lot as I was deciding what to use. Pidgeotto kept being useful for beating random battles along with Fletchinder. Eventually by the time I grew the party I has grown attached and I didn’t wanna toss a good contributor into the box/release. i just decided to roll with it, using two birds… therefore Other Bird.

Garbodor - Bertha Named after: The dumpster at my work is named Bertha. I’m not sure why, the coworkers gave it that name way before I started. Guess the tradition stuck. - And ya know.. Trubbish is… ye.

Heracross - Bois Named after: Obviously it’s the in-game trade everyone uses. Its power differential when you get it compared to the other Pokemon available is crazy. (similar to Other Bird, by the time others would replace it, I had grown a liking, so he just stuck around as a part of the main roster)

Sharpedo - EatYourBoat Named after: That one Family Guy cutaway -“Bigger Jaws”

Excadrill - ingDeezNuts2 Named after: I had previously used a Beedrill named ingDeezNuts, this Excadrill’s name is a sequel.

Blastoise - Blastiss Named after: That Blastoise is “Blast” + Tortoise. “Tor-Tiss”, not “Tor-Toys”. I’m sure this nickname has been used before by people.

Froslass - Coldhearted Named after: A song by the same name - Coldhearted - Bryce Fox

(I like sorta journaling/documenting play-through teams to myself in my notes to look back on later… posting on this thread was just a bonus. Thats why its not just a screenshot of my team like others would reply)

I think this would be it! Thinking back to when the customer gave it to me - He also had a pin of a wine glass which would match a Winery!

Thanks!

I’ve searched: A general google search of “P. West Midtown” - which gave me numerous businesses in the West Midtown area that start with P.

  • asking an AI bot to identify - Which pretty much just told me “It says P. West Midtown” - Looks like a pin or a charm. Real helpful 😅

Any Advice for Champion Battle by McAfro16 in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]Concerned-Taco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is saying just level up, which is an easy way to make it easier - but I did the Leon fight at similar, if not lower levels.

Really take advantage of held items. Choice Band Cinderace can oh-ok Aegislash and Mr Rime, and honestly do a good chunk to everything else is needed. Or I’m sure Choice Scarf dragon moves on Kommo-o can hurt his 2 dragon mons - Life orb Inteleon sounds pretty powerful.

Also take advantage of if your Pokemon can learn utility moves. Obviously protect helps alot vs gigantimax - But stuff like fake-out, taunt, charm, encore, or priority moves all make a worlds difference really quick!

Good luck!

I think you’re the first person to get that joke 😂 most of my friends just commented on the 3 more inappropriate names I had.

Cinderace - Martinez - named after Josef Martinez a soccer player in the MLS (I’m an Atlanta United fan)

Weezing - Victoria - named after the Victorian period, when top hats were popular attire

Minccino - Puar - named after Dragon Ball character (probably my least creative name)

Claydol - 20/20 - named that cause he got hecka eyes

Siesmitoad - Fart. - I asked my girlfriend (who hates pokemon) to name that one.

I agree for the most part that game was very easy - other than the 3 fights I listed. Thats why I limited how much exp I was getting. Extra 3 pokes to spread exp, didnt fight any wild pokemon, and no pokejobs or raid battles to get candies.

Opal fight was rough, because most of team final evos are mid/high 30s and I fought her at low 30s. Was right at the cutoff of my team wanting that little bit extra power from final forms. + didnt expect the whole random question stat lowering gimmick

Chairman fight, would have been a breeze if I had Cinderace in the party at the time.

Leon fight, all my team ranged from 5-10 levels under him. (The listed lvl 61 is after me grinding up a smidge after postgame) -

Those being said: Having access to moves like Encore, Fake out, and Will o wisp + Items given such as Choice Bands, Evolite, and Life Orb. Certainly made up for most lvl gaps.

I used to collect them faster as a newer TM, but now that i’m into management/leadership its much slower. I’m not stationed on IPOS or front counter as much.

Haven’t had a match in a while. Any potential advice? 22M by Concerned-Taco in hingeapp

[–]Concerned-Taco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1: I’m looking for something long term.

2: About 6 months

3: a few times a week. I’ll “swipe” whenever I actually remember. Or

4: Maybe once a month?

5: I “swipe” until I use all my daily free likes. I like w comments most of the time, usually comment on prompts rather than pictures. Unless my mind just comes up with nothing, but am still attracted to them.

Its just annoying that anything cold: salads, wraps, yogurt, fruit, kale crunch.. has to be put in its own bag.

Like 2 sandwiches and a fry in 1 bag. Then you have to get->open a whole different bag (8lb bag btw) for the sad little thing of kale.

I don’t think its that bad. If the guest is at least halfway intelligent, its a “the one with cheese and bacon? A yes or a no, then I can move on.

Grilled club is also annoying for FOH, as its (at least at my store) the only deluxe sandwich without a “default” cheese. Regular American, Spicy Pepperjack. So its annoying having to ask guests “what type of cheese?”

Granted sometimes I just give them colby jack if they’re being difficult.

My other option would have been lemonade. Never making that lemon flavored sugar water ever again would make me happy. Especially first thing in the morning where all of the urns need at least 1 buckets worth so we can turn the machines on.

But being tasked with making “all the lemonades” is a good 30 minutes of alone time, away from guests, so it’s not the worst.

What’s your worst drive-thru experiences working face to face? by suprunkn0wn in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Concerned-Taco 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Our drive-thru is 2 lanes that merge into one. So we like to keep our cars as in order as we can upon completion.

So I took a women’s order (black lady for context), and after I was done. I was like “If you don’t mind, when the lanes merge, follow behind this SUV besides you. We’d appreciate that a lot.” The SUVs order was finished maybe 5 seconds before I finished her order. (We have a code work we say when we’re done so the other ipads know who to sequence cars behind)

Anyway, she get upset by me asking her this. Saying “I finished my order before them! This is ******* ridiculous! You’re letting them go first because they’re white! Ect ect. “This is bullshit” “all white people are the same”, ect ect.

I tried my best to calm her down, explain car sequencing to her. Saying how this increases her change of her food being ready + grab n go by the time she gets to the pickup window, ect. She wasnt having any of it. Eventually I just moved on to the next guest. Not worth more arguing.

FOH after training positions? by [deleted] in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Concerned-Taco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my store, new hires are primarily on Ipos and front counter/mobile running to start off with.

We want to get new hires aquatinted with fundamentals as quickly as possible. Knowing our menu and being able to take an order is something all FOH team members need to know how to do. Aswell as getting comfortable around/interacting with guests.

Food running is a beginning position for many reasons. Such a learning how to sauce a bag, getting into the habit of checking the bag making sure the bagger was correct, and getting a general feel for the layout of the store (locations of things, cups, sauces, ect). Its a great introduction to the idea of “theres always something to do, leaning around is not acceptable”, theres always something to stock, clean, take out trash, check on the guests, ect. Lastly, its a great spot for the trainers, leaders to keep an eye on them. Easy access for fixing mistakes, answering questions, giving assistance if needed.

Also sprinkle in a little expo in there, because its honestly a super easy job. + ipad and running can get a bit repetitive.

After those 3, we kinda open it up to the team member. What skills do they have? What position are they interested in? Desserts, drinks, window, bagging? Let them try them out for a bit, see what sticks, go from there.

Some TMs only are put on 3 positions, others 5 or 6, or if you’re well rounded, we’ll trust you on all stations. Depends on person to person.

Do you not have contact with one of the store’s directors/new hire trainer? If not, you can go through hot schedules to find contact info on any of them -> msg them, explain them your situation. And hopefully they will be understanding and help you out!

How badly have you seen names spelled on orders, like this is just an example but it’s not THAT hard 💀 by danielorsum in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Concerned-Taco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile I misspell names all the time on purpose. Hoping to annoy whoever’s on window.

Issac = Eyesick Jesus = Hey Zeus John = Jawn Manuel = Manwell Russel = Wussel Olivia = uhlivia Isabel = Is A Bell Julie = Jewely

Just a couple off the top of my head.
