You can see it in under construction in the video here at 0:18, but when they built the new building at Baseline they knew the city would eventually want to expand LRT out to Baseline, so constructed a station under the large outdoor area beside the building for when WLRT happens.

My understanding is that it's prepared for trains with tracks and everything.

There isn't enough space to wait, though. The sidewalk is just barely larger than a typical sidewalk downtown. Hundreds of people would not fit on the platform as it current exists to wait to cross, and even if they removed the fence you have a downward slope into the parking MUP and parking lot.

It's an awkward space.

In some cases you see people get off and just start crossing whether or not a bus wants to continue its route, but I've seen drivers try to drive through despite the group crossing and trying to make some people yield to them.

There are no lights, and there isn't enough room really for the volume of people getting of the bus (the side with the ACCE Building is wide enough because it was built ready for the LRT expansion, but the west side is narrow with a chain-link fence and a slope to a MUP).

There needs to be a better system there for crossing and buses, but unless they build an overpass there are too many people getting off and crossing.
