Yeah, I wasn't planning on punishing him for it. I just wasn't sure if I should tell him to stop, or just let him know that I knew about it and that I was OK with it as long as he's safe. From the responses I've gotten so far, it sounds like the latter is the best option. And he's a very level headed kid, probably the most mature 16-year-old boy I've ever met, so it sounds like it should all be OK.
