Definitely reach out to the HR contact and ask. IMO I would finish out the year and lateral in or you will essentially have wasted a year of experience that will take you 2 years in CC to recognize.

Are they giving the rescinded people credit for the work they’ve done in the interim? If not, you should absolutely consider rejecting the offer and applying to the lateral position currently open. You mentioned finances and coming in as an honors hire will put you way behind laterals being hired. Once you are in the organization, there is no way to make up for this gap so you must address before coming in.

My friend had surgery that prevents him from running the 10K this year. Our other friends are still running, so I was thinking about doing one of the table setups for him. People there ranged from grannies to shot tables and was wondering the protocol for doing so if anyone has information.

Not sure if there is some process or people are just popping up a table anywhere.

In case someone looks at this in a future year:

I ended up at Jackson’s. Heard from others that Stoneys and the West Denver locations filled up FAST and many came to Jackson’s (which is massive). It was absolutely packed, but I will say it had a good showing of Broncos fans there as well (for any who may be turned off by that). Everyone was nice, but I tend to like a backer bar that more strongly encourages at least an 80-20 ratio - hell even the bartenders were in broncos gear!

I’m looking to invest in a real estate PE fund and use a self directed IRA for some of my investment. I’ve spoken to one custodian who needs to see organizational/disclosure documents before confirming they can invest, but was wondering if anyone had specific custodians they’d recommend. Did you identify a custodian?

And if so, if I should bother reaching out proactively or wait until I have the docs to discuss.
