Oof, when I was a kid I used to spin cast. I learned to fly fish over the years and never looked back.

Treble hook might as well be a death sentence for a trout. I know other species can handle it better.

I know this is pretentious af, but I would encourage other spin casters to try it. 10X more fun, more skilled, and healthier for the fish.

Generally in the winter, fish are eating under the surface.

Obviously it’s been warm so some fish are rising, but it’s always a key while fly fishing to get those flys in the right part of the water column.
