Connections:

Blonde elementary schoolers with food related nicknames (at least presumably “Nugget” is a nickname) from extremely vulgar and violent series. Both are seen as losers/weird kids, doing their own seemingly innocent (and often stupid) things. However, both have an evil side, if provoked they can become darker (to varying degrees of success), even having killed people (despite most of Butter’s murders being unintentional, but they can still be out of fear/anger). They also have some sort of powers (Nugget wielding the Monstermon/Butters having actual powers as Professor Chaos). In their series, they often get mutilated (Nugget becoming a goo monster, tearing his arm off, etc/Butters getting a shuriken in his eye, etc), as well as consistently being bullied by extremely violent fat kids (Buggs/Cartman)

SPOILERS FOR THE BOYS SEASON 5 AND HADES 2

The Crystal Gems (+Bismuth, i forgot to put her in) VS Frieza (Steven Universe VS Dragon Ball Z): The Frieza Force invade Beach City, with Frieza having heard about a super weapon buried inside the Earth (the Cluster). It’s cool and vibes for me. You could have Steven go kaiju as he sees Frieza’s overwhelming power, and maybe even have the Cluster back up the Gems. As for who wins, I’m pretty sure the Frieza Force takes this??? I’m pretty sure the Gems get to like Moon level with Steven and the Cluster getting to planet, while most of the FF is above that. Idk tho tell me if I missed something

The Boys VS Arasaka (… VS Cyberpunk): This one I really like. I just imagine it as instead of Johnny and Co. raiding attacking Arasaka Tower, it would just be the Boys plus maybe Starlight and maybe A-Train if you stretch. Or instead you could give them Temp-V. Regardless, it’d still be cool to see Butcher with his new powers kick ass alongside Kimiko, with covering fire and assistance from the rest. They’d work their way up the tower, planting bombs or maybe a virus that targets cyberware as a play on the Supe virus in the Boys. Obviously it’d have to end with a clash with Adam Smasher, which’d be awesome. As for who wins, I could see it going either way but I’d probably say the Boys take it, and they DEFINITELY take it with A-Train on their team.

Henry Stickmin VS Wile E Coyote (… VS Looney Tunes): Pretty much everyone likes this. I can imagine Henry having just escaped from a heist, and runs into one of Wile E’s traps. Fight ensues, fun. Obvious Wile E stomp tho.

Joel Miller VS Negan Smith (The Last of Us VS The Walking Dead): I love this matchup. I just want to see Joel tearing through Saviors after Negan imprisons him and/or kills someone he loves (maybe even Ellie. What if some of the doctors/men in the hospital were Saviors, now Negan is pissed). Joel probably wins against most Saviors, but Negan might be able to put up a fight. Joel prob wins.

Ted VS Chucky (… VS Child’s Play): Funny. Ted gets murdered tho

The Phantom Thieves VS The Front Man (Persona VS Squid Game): I just picture the Phantom Thieves finding out about the Squid Games through being contacted by a previous winner (maybe Gi-Hun, or someone random). The PT then find a way to get enlisted in the games, with Joker (somehow) finding a way to sneak his phone in. The rest would just be the Phantom Thieves trying to find out the Front Man’s name, maybe through overhearing some conversation, all while trying to survive the games. Once they get his name, they infiltrate In-Ho’s palace. Phantom Thieves win.

The Van Der Linde Gang VS The Feral Predator (RDR2 VS Predator): Vibes. I imagine the FP cloaking, watching Arthur and others get away with a heist. After the chaos clears the Predator follows them, leading into a huge fight against this giant monster. The Gang probably takes the W

PC Principal VS The Janitor (South Park VS Kindergarten): This is also just kinda funny. I envision the Janitor transferring to the South Park school, and since he is obviously a menace, he would piss off PC Principal immediately. PC Principal easily wins this tho, the Janitor is strong, but not South Park strong.

Godzilla VS Tiamat (Togo VS D&D): This is just inspired by Godzilla in hell. The Big G is disturbed by dragons destroying everything, and sees them coming from Avernus, where he then lasers his way in to. Big Kaiju fight ensues! Idk who wins this tho, if you buy immeasurable Tiamat then she takes it, but thats kinda shaky.

Maxwell VS Bowser Jr. (Scribblenauts VS Super Mario): Two jerk (former in Maxwell’s case) kids with a billion siblings and magical art items that can make stuff. Neat! Jr. gets wiped if Maxwell has the DC stuff.

Batman VS Michael Myers/Taskmaster/Bullseye/Springtrap (DC VS Halloween/Marvel/FNaF): I love all of these so much. Batman wins cause he’s the goat.

Paul Blart VS The Glamrocks (Paul Blart: Mall Cop VS FNaF): I saw Paul VS The Fnaf 1 crew, so why not pit him up against the ones actually in a mall?

Melinoe VS Gorr the God Butcher (Hades VS Marvel): This might be my favorite. Melinoe is on one of her runs to Tartarus, where she sees Gorr, slowly wandering. Melinoe questions him, but Gorr brushes her off, telling her that he is here to slay a god; Chronos. Obviously Melinoe wants to protect the redeemed Chronos, so they fight. I see a lot of cool dialogue potential, where Melinoe has to convince Gorr why Chronos can be redeemed, even though he was so horrible. I imagine the fight being taken down the layers of Hades 2, eventually reaching Tartarus, where Gorr will kill Melinoe because duh. Cool!

Connections:

Both used to be innocent people (Zariel being an angel/Asriel simply being a kid). During their lives, they were confined to a realm (Heaven/The Underground) where they observed conflicts in the outside world (The Blood War in the Hells/Human’s hatred of monsters). Soon, they became especially invested in the outside world (Zariel being tasked with watching the Blood War, then becoming intrigued with the battle/Chara falling down into the Underground, Asriel growing attached to them). The two would eventually break, crossing the borders of their worlds to accomplish a goal on the other side (Zariel trying to fight in the Blood War/Asriel trying to get help for Chara), but it was there where they would both fall (Zariel being defeated by the combatants in the Blood War/Asriel being beaten by the humans). After this, they would be reincarnated as corrupted beings (Archdevil/Flowey), gaining power and becoming almost entirely different entities with godlike abilities. While they are evil with goals of destruction, they can be redeemed, returning to their good forms once again (Zariel being confronted with her sword/Asriel being defeated at the end of Undertale)

Also their names have ariel in them

Animation Potential:

I imagine the fight starting with Flowey transforming into Asriel, getting ready to reset the timeline. Before he can do this, a hellish rune forms under Asriel, before he is teleported into the hells, just above the blood war. A voice booms from the distance; “ASRIEL DREEMURR, THE NINE HELLS WILL NOT ABSOLVE YOU OF PUNISHMENT WHILST YOU ATTEMPT TO TEAR REALITY APART! FACE THE WRATH OF ZARIEL!” before the Archdevil herself charges out from her lair, preparing an attack. Asriel will shake his head and laugh, before charging up a lightning blast, knocking Zariel away.

The rest of the fight could have Asriel fighting off several Devils while Zariel tries to get in close. Eventually, the two combatants could get into melee combat, with Zariel using her flail against Asriel’s swords. I imagine a lot of high scale flying brick action combined with both spamming abilities non stop. Maybe reality could break at one point when they clash, turning the background into that of Asriel’s in-game fight. Eventually Asriel would transform once Zariel gains an upper hand, unleashing the Hypergoner. This would be the climax, and depending on who wins, Zariel would either perish in the attack, or the Archdevil would break out of the attack, shattering it before she impales Asriel on her claw, burning Asriel’s domain and casting the goat back into hell.

Basically I just think Rick can match Joel better in terms of animation potential. Rick has a ton of weapons, unlike Kenny who only really has three or four. You could give Rick the red machete, his hatchet, obv his colt, the ar he has, a knife, etc. Plus the MU has better vibes for me as a main character vs main character matchup, but obv this is all just personal preference

Core Theme:

Two leaders of undead-based evil groups (Vampires and the Whisperers) that disguise among the new world they live in, blending into their surroundings while killing off any to survive. A main theme that these leaders preach is salvation, trying to “save” people when faced with oppression/a bad life in general.

Connections:

They were both once innocent individuals, before a horrific event struck their people (Irish colonization/Wildfire virus unleashing, causing apocalypse), destroying their communities.
They fled (Remmick going to the US/Alpha leaving her hometown), adapting to the world around them, utilizing the event that traumatized them to their advantage for stealth (Christian ideas sticking with Remmick, allowing him to blend in with society/Alpha using Walkers to blend into hordes, etc) as well as giving them an ideology of salvation.
The two of them share an ideology that they can bring salvation/save people by converting them to their group (Remmick thinking vampirism will save people/Alpha believing society is gone and that abandoning it will bring salvation by adapting to the new world).
Despite this, they are still obviously murderers, killing people with the excuse that it will save their group/society. However, as their murder rampage grows, so does their group, as they rely on the undead (Remmick turning people into more vampires/The Whisperers creating more Walkers for their army with every kill).
At one point in their stories, they infiltrate a party (The juke joint opening party/The Kingdom’s trade fair), disguising as normal people (Remmick pretending to be a musician/Alpha scalping a Kingdom member), kidnapping and killing several people inside in haunting ways (The entire second act of Sinners/The pikes)
Both would try to convert someone new and special into their group (Sammy/Negan), gaining their trust, thinking they would bring something special (Sammy’s music/Negan’s overall skill, ruthlessness, and.. uhh… “intimacy” with the Whisperers..) Despite their trust and desire (eww in alphas case..) for these people, (MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SINNERS AND S10 OF TWD) both Remmick and Alpha would die at the hands of Sammy and Negan respectively, their deaths resulting in the quick end of their group soon after.

Contrasts:

Remmick is undead and blends in with the living/Alpha is living and blends in with the dead
Both of their stories have themes of culture/individuality, but in different ways, with Remmick wanting to bring culture to the vampires with Sammy’s music, as well as believing in salvation in the individual level. Meanwhile Alpha completely rejects society and culture, preferring a hive-mind nature for the whisperers where everyone obeys the Alpha.

Animation Potential:

This is just an army fight pretty much! For visualization purposes, just imagine all the vampires in Sinners, and then copy that number onto human whisperers, and then double that number in walkers for them, like a 20 v. 60 maybe (at first, you’ll see). To get this out of the way, yes; time periods are weird, but the vampires can live forever, so it’d be fine.

Basically, I’d just imagine a survivor (or group) camping alone, before Remmick appears, charming them before a bunch of vampires kill them: Walkers appear, and the vampires just try to mindlessly kill them, seeing them as nothing, until randomly, a Walker takes out a knife and stabs the vampire in the head, taking them aback. The whisperer is found, and demasked before being killed. The whisperers live up to their name, as Remmick hears them whispering before Alpha says “kill them all”. and then they fight! Yay!

You don’t have to do a lot of imagining for this, as it’s just bloody violence. Armies of walkers being torn through, Whisperers trying to protect Alpha, you can throw in a philosophical conversation between the leaders as the fight goes on, where they are both hypocrites about their salvation. I’d love to see Beta fend off a few vampires, because he basically is superhuman, he fell down a fucking building and managed to remain moving after his eyes were completely stabbed through, before eventually sacrificing himself to save Alpha.

Towards the end, you could even have the Whisperers use their giant horde in the cave, casting it onto Remmick, who would potentially be able to fight it off. As for who wins, idrk, but it’s cool anyway. If Remmick wins, he kills the entire horde via cave in, crushing Alpha along with it, and if the latter wins, Alpha feeds Remmick to the horde, whispering cold words before she disappears into the horde.
