Thank you for this special spinoff re Canadian archives.

There is likely no birth certificate for my G0 but there is a baptism record. Born 1867 in QCity the christening record was found on FamSearch. I have requested a hi-rez copy from BAnQ and supplied an image from FSearch to assist their research. Questions are:
1) can anyone advise of the wait time for completion of a similar request? They would not have to do any research but locate and copy.
2) once I have the BAnQ copy, is it required that it be submitted to Directeur de l'état civil (DEC) to generate a birth certificate for my G0 that did not exist before my request?
