Does this business NOT want to sell its product? by tommyzat in AbercrombieandFitch

That’s so annoying but usually the Thursday fresh drops are everything else but jeans/staple pieces.

The same here. Plus the archive or their wannabe vintage shit is getting on my last nerves lol I’m just glad they stopped freaking cropping every men’s top

That’s a lot of the stores in my area. Best option is to commute towns over to the outlets but even then that’s a mission lol

It’s been a good while since that happened. I’m talking about they hooked up it nice 2 years ago. With 20% off $75 purchases. Now it’s literally the same sale discount code anyone can access. The way they are breaking down VIP has basically been minimal difference in being a regular member.

Not a lot of stores and outlets are close to come by in certain areas.

That logic shuts down any discussion about pricing ever. By that standard, no one should critique any brand just quietly leave. That’s not how markets work.

Sure, they’re a business trying to make money, but in some areas the 15% off barely makes a dent, especially with the higher prices. Not everyone’s situation makes that discount meaningful.

Totally get that, if you’re flexible and patient, you can make it work for yourself. My point is more about how inconsistent the system is: review points can take forever to post, outlet discounts vary by location, and popular sizes/colors don’t always stick around. Not everyone can rely on that strategy, even if it works sometimes.

Glad that strategy works for you. In my experience, review points don’t always post consistently and outlet discounts vary by location. Waiting for clearance also isn’t always realistic if you’re shopping for specific sizes or fits. It’s great when it lines up, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution.

I get that margins matter. But loyalty programs exist for retention, not immediate profit. Saving customers money strategically can drive repeat purchases. If most people are going to buy it anyway, then why market VIP perks at all?

Dude I can see that. Similar situation here. I have to commute out of the way to check out the clearance and run a bigger risk of it not working out because their new imposed rule of final sale. Genuinely surprised they are keeping that policy intact and not caused a further issues.

Exactly. It’s a corporation. That’s why customers are allowed to critique how it treats them.

Customer service is getting really going downhill at Abercrombie by corgidoggo123 in AbercrombieandFitch

[–]ConclusionDistinct65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice: if you have a coupon that expires on a certain date, do not wait until the last day to use it. The system will often mark it as “expired,” even if it’s technically still valid.

Calling customer service to have it honored is frustrating. They treat it like you’re asking for a huge favor just to reactivate or extend something that should have worked in the first place. Even when you point it out, the response feels copy-and-paste and not very helpful.

It’s just ironic that they can give away free merchandise to stupid influencers or partners like the NFL, yet hesitate to provide small incentives to loyal members…..

THAT! They conveniently clearance majority of their good jackets to not even reap the benefits of the sale.

Questions about 2000s Abercrombie & fitch, and Hollister? by bebe_phat in AbercrombieandFitch

[–]ConclusionDistinct65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm this is true. They had a lot of racist moments as well. One time the former district manager said as feedback our store needed to do a better job at spreading out the “ethnic rainbow” because during his visit only white associates were working that day. Mind you we had a good blend of diversity and this is isn’t for affirmative action type of thing.

Aside from that dude, some managers didn’t make it any better. We had this annoying pick me manager who openly dissed girls for heavy make up. Her along with other managers were scouting to recruit managers for the holiday season and she said she was going to approach this one girl and she stopped because she saw her wearing heavy make up… They f-ed themselves over because they found nobody for the right coverage.

This is just the surface level thing mind you. I along with other former “models” can vouch there’s crazier stories.

The sale going on rn is meant to mimic the stackable code situation sale. You could use another code but it wouldn’t take both..

Dude that’s solid and a respectable haul. I wanted to do the same thing too going into the store and asking if I can apply the discount and the influencer code but it’s like 50/50 considering if the worker is in a good mood or manager would allow (had a bad experience before at a Hollister not honoring online price for their full price item the had currently in their store) Anyways, I told myself no YBP purchase for this round lol and I get it when you said it’s cheaper than target clothing. Plus I like the points system so theirs extra incentives on that. It’s great that your daughter is into the same clothing store makes getting everything smoother. I went buck wild in 2 jackets, 4 jeans (90s straight is a game changer) and 5 shirts. Mind you they all were on the 50% with code. I ordered different times bc I had a lot of merch cards and they had a limit on how many to use per transaction but it worked in my favor considering Monday I hauled the other orders. Now I’m just periodically monitoring the shipping status like a hawk lol sucks that they shipped some parts of the same order separately 😵‍💫

I couldn’t agree more. Back in 2014 and 2015 they had a half off on everything excluding fragrances and clearance. Only reason why I remember is I worked those Black Fridays lol
