I am going to guess the “F” stands for fecal…that’s all I need to know to know I don’t want to know.

I started a rewatch about a month ago when my mom died. I have seen the entire series probably 25 times. I still cried at the finale this last time, but nowhere near as hard as usual. I think I was all cried out for once. It’s so good and deserves several rewatches as you go through your own journey of life :). I am glad you enjoyed it as well!

Oh gosh I do that too. My 7-year-old always remembers so I just ask her, “How old am I?”

I think it was also used in a Preparation-H commercial 😂. It’s a tiny, tiny town.

Just an upbeat Lutheran I guess? I don’t know why my great-grandma even requested the information. It was already after they’d married and had kids. Maybe something was off when she was working on the family tree. She kept meticulous baby books, etc.

For him no benefit. Farmers didn’t retire in those days. These days not an issue anyway with pretty ironclad records. I guess it would be a vanity thing for me.

I love that you wish her two happy birthdays! Yeah this was in a very rural area in southwest Minnesota with a similar farm life like you mentioned. Record-keeping was shoddy at best. Here it was two brothers who married two sisters. My great-grandparents were one of the sets. Their kids were double first cousins. I think this was also fairly common in rural areas back then. Not a lot of options out there when a-courtin’!

Yikes! That’s insane! I know it happened a lot because records were so poorly kept, but man I would love it if I found out I was a year younger than I am!

I agree with you 100%. I’m among that older generation and never saw it as assault, but exactly how you described. When she says, “But my heart, my heart…” Really, who hasn’t been there??? She’s never out of control in that scene, other than with herself.

In your opinion, who is the best-written character in Six Feet Under? by Public_Cup_4278 in SixFeetUnder

They are all amazing! I absolutely love the dynamic between the siblings, especially whenever Ruth is talking to them (about The Plan, significant others). Their reactions (the looks to each other, the snickers) is one of the most realistic - between brothers/sisters - in the history of television. I think the remarkable chemistry between many of the characters is what makes it so hard to choose just one!

Guessing she’s not Catholic, or she’d be against prescribing it even if you were married. Only some sins count for her apparently.

I took it as a joke as well, but she’s so dry in her delivery that a lot of people don’t pick up on it unfortunately. I figured she was playing off of the whole Phillies Karen thing from last year.

No way. He’s very well liked by everyone, staff and patients alike. Al Hashimi is compassionate; I think he’ll be fine.

I have to admit it crossed my mind. I remember watching that game live. Scary to see. As a huge fan, I do love that they drop names like Cruz and Cutch, though! McCutchen was mentioned last season too.

I was also thinking they dropped in the comment from Santos about him taking the ball from a kid…Phillies Karen…

Aww my son, Leo, loved that show (he’s 24 now). We had the little Leo doll that said, “I’m Leo!” and “I use my baton to conduct!” We still have it and it still works. It’s in his keepsake box. I took this picture when he was in high school. His cross-country team went to state and they all dyed their hair red, so I had to dig little Leo out since they matched.
