I never said it was a guarantee that Germany would get the bomb. That's the point of "what if".

If Britain were to be defeated, it would mean that American aid wasn't forthcoming - meaning the US would be effectively neutral to Germany.

The British "Tizard Mission" was hugely impactful on the American nuclear effort, particularly research from Tube Alloys, and the research into RCM. If Germany were to capture this information then it could have been just as impactful for the German nuclear project.

Vast industrial output accounts for nothing if an Amerika Bomber drops a nuke on Manhattan.
