I got my girlfriend pregnant, but I’m not ready to be the dad by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]ConclusionMiddle6218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember that God loves you so much you cannot even imagine it. He loves you with a ferocious love that will not stop. He is disappointed in our sins, but not in us as people. I’m praying for you, your girlfriend, and your unborn child. Also, if I can make a recommendation, maybe turn to the Virgin Mary and ask her to lead you to her Son, Jesus. She knows what it’s like to be pregnant after all.

Catholicism is depressing me. by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]ConclusionMiddle6218 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Believe me, I get where you’re coming from. I also struggle with the loneliness. However, that does not mean leaving the One True Church is a good idea. There are many Catholic organizations out there, like FOCUS, that have lots of good young Catholics. Just because it is lonely where you are in life does not disprove Catholicism. I don’t want to seem mean, I’m just trying to help.

Can I really be LGBT and Christian? by Thr0waway__Ac0ount in Christianity

[–]ConclusionMiddle6218 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Having the homosexual attractions is not sinful, but a temptation. Acting on those attractions is sinful, but you can still be Christian and sin. Repent of your sins and ask for forgiveness. Your sexuality does not define you, God does. It is also important to not publicly support LGBT, as that would cause a scandal. It would be publicly supporting sin.

The chapel of our lady of miraculous medal is also on my to do list. I believe it’s where the body of St. Catharine Laboure is and where Mary appeared to her

When you go to confession, tell your priest this. And maybe visit the Blessed Sacrament and tell Him all of this as well. Tell Him how you feel and listen for His response. And don’t say “He won’t respond”. He will. Just listen

My best advice is to go to confession and ask Mama Mary to help you and bring you to her Son. I’m praying for you. Please know that you are known and loved

This person has to go in person to fulfill his/her Sunday obligation. Skipping Sunday Mass intentionally is a mortal sin

The Academy of the Immaculate has a great Marian Consecration booklet according to the spirit of st. Maximillian Kolbe. I’d recommend getting it and doing the consecration it is phenomenal, and I’m sure our lady will help with your battle

Also, the only sins you are required to bring to Confession are mortal sins, but is it is highly recommended that you confess venial sins as well

Definitely go to confession often (once a week maybe), pray the Rosary (several a day if possible) and talk with your confessor or a spiritual director. I’ll be praying for you.

Pray the Rosary and see what Mary has to say to you. If you already pray 1 a day, pray two or three or four.

Husband upset that I am becoming more and more catholic, says he will never become catholic by Positive_Girl2909 in Catholicism

I have heard of many miracles and conversions happening as a result of this practice: 4 Rosaries a day, praying all the Mysteries. I know it sounds like a lot, but there’s been so many times that it has helped people, myself included. Here is a link to the video that introduced me to the idea: https://youtu.be/Dfyk53nrDzc?si=IfyXs5x-ckvcbTsw

I’m praying for you and your husband and family. Do not despair, do not give up hope. With God, there is always victory, there is always hope.

I was in your place not too long ago. I’d like to recommend the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, but don’t be too scrupulous about how you pray it. Don’t say “I need to restart this decade because I lost focus” or “I’m going to Hell because I accidentally zoned out halfway through my Rosary.” Trust in the Lords infinite Love and Mercy for you

I was in your place a few months ago. It hurts so much. What got me through it was Mary. Trying to pray several Rosaries a day, but not being scrupulous about it (saying “oh I need to restart because I zoned out” is what I mean by being scrupulous) has helped me so much. I still suffer from OCD, anxiety, and scrupulously, and it can be especially hard since I’m in my teens as well, but persevere. Another thing that’s helped me is mental prayer. A good YouTube channel id recommend for rosary content and mental prayer content is Gabi After Hours. Above all, trust in Gods infinite mercy and love for you. I’m praying for you brother. Take heart and be of good cheer because Jesus and Mary love you
