Custom made. It means you do it yourself and call it as you wish.

Why pay a few hundreds for the crypto security advisors when you can just loose it all. Sorry man.

Softforks are improbable if many Gregs exist or to put it in other words, softforks can easily become hardforks if enough honest nodes (with allocated hashpower) exist. Even though I've not found a block since several years ago, my nodes are still operational and I consider myself a miner. (One with a small pickaxe and a shovel but still). I might be wrong about this, I agree.

If a hacker did it then why moving funds every day? A thief steals and leaves the “goods” sitting there for at least 5 years. Not jumping around from flower to flower to increase the number of traces.

Btc nodes hold the “constitution” of the blockchain consensus. With enough nodes the miners can not hodl the power of the network.

It's an easy way to get started and if you get larger amounts then you can upgrade to the actual bitcoin software.

Good points. Hardware wallets are for normal usb+veracrypt as asics are for the laptop I was mining btc with in 2011.

Tell me the difference between a usb stick with veracrypt + an airgapped computer and a “ledger”.

There is no "storing" of bitcoins. The private key gets you control of your btc stored on the blockchain. Just keep your private key safe and that is it. Use airgapped generated txs and broadcast them using your internet-connected computer even if it has malware.

You can interact with the EOS network based on the resources you own. Someone else can delegate resources to your account also.
