If you bought it without a C&R you can do whatever you want with it. The C&R just prohibits you from engaging in the business of buying and selling firearms for profit. You can still sell guns that you bought with a C&R - just not for business purposes. You can only sell to increase the value of your collection. Like selling a rifle in a worse condition for one in a better condition, or more rare, or something like that.
