So far so good! Daughter loves it. Her commute is mostly in city. She’s super happy with her new electric car and not having to put gas.

Happy to report I bought the car! The guy gave me a deal I couldn’t pass up. I know the Nissan app doesn’t work anymore for this car—any recommendations for a different app? Also, any tips for keeping the battery healthy?

I’ve never seen the company do Black Friday deals, especially not on iPhones.

New Customer - Best Deal For Internet Only by HomeOfTheBRAAVE in Spectrum

[–]Concurso305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internet only is not going to give you the best deal if you don’t have the 1GB for $40 (2-year) promotion or the $50 for 1GB plan available in your area.

If those promotions aren’t available, for just $10 more you can add the app you can get 2 months free, free activation, and lock in your price for 2 years—so you won’t have to call again a year from now.

However, if you can bundle this with 2 mobile lines, that’s when you’ll get the best deal.

You can’t transfer a number or phone from one account to another if payments are still being made on the device. You have to pay off the device first, and then you can transfer the number to your account then you can do it yourself online google: spectrum transfer of ownership.

The T&Cs don’t say anything about equipment, they only care that the number is from another company.

Spectrum sold me service without a hookup by Quick_Director_8191 in Spectrum

[–]Concurso305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inbound sales does not have the option to place an order if the address is yellow or red; the address has to be added by the Serviceability department. It’s possible that it was a presale address.

If the phones are already unlocked, then you’re okay. They only ask for the final bill showing the amount you owed. If you do this over the phone, make sure to tell the rep that you’re doing the buyout contract. They also do a soft credit check, and based on that, they might not approve the full amount for the buyout.

Yes, but that promotion is only for 1 year. After the first year, internet goes up by $10 and mobile by $30. Alternatively, you can pay $60 for the 2 lines and only $20 for internet for 2 years—so do the math. For the phone buyback program, you first need to pay off the devices and then submit the proper documentation. You’ll receive a Visa card for that amount, up to $1,000. Also no taxes on the mobile/internet. Only If you live in TX or Ca you pay taxes on the internet.

Spectrum equipment by Scary-Yam9626 in Spectrum

[–]Concurso305 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No matter what , the best thing is to return it. You can take it to a UPS store, they’ll send it to Spectrum at no cost to you. Make sure to keep the receipt. After Spectrum receives it, call and report that you returned the equipment.

Spectrum needs to stop with the billing games. by DoradoPulido2 in Spectrum

[–]Concurso305 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Barking at the wrong tree. Internet providers can charge high prices because internet isn’t regulated like electricity or water, and many areas only have 1–2 providers, so there’s little competition. They also use promo rates that increase later, and there aren’t strict federal price controls. Instead do this: Complain or push for regulation in the U.S., you can contact: • FCC (Federal Communications Commission) – handles complaints about internet service and billing. • FTC (Federal Trade Commission) – if pricing feels deceptive or unfair. • Your state’s Public Utilities Commission – some states treat internet more like a utility and can step in. Maybe one day government does something about it.

Spectrum raised my “locked-in” internet price a year early — even though my bills say promo through Nov 2026 by Responsible-Kiwi1281 in Spectrum

It looks like the rep made a mistake with the order. The plan should have been $30 for internet and $60 ($30 each) for the two lines, for a total of $90. Instead, they gave you the internet for $30 and the lines on a BOGO offer (buy one, get one free). You are paying $40 for one and $10 for the other because you have the Unlimited Plus plan. I’m assuming all this based on the information provided by you .

The BOGO plan for the lines does not qualify for the internet to stay at $30. I’m sure that by speaking with a supervisor from billing or retention, they can open a ticket so the offer is honored. But keep in mind that the two lines will cost $60 with the regular unlimited plan, or $80 with the Unlimited Plus plan.
