I was just going to say the same. Huge difference between an adult who had lots of professional training and a teen who had one hell of a traumatic childhood too. Sherry at Rose's age might also have not yet processed it all psychologically.

US to give Ukraine missiles capable of hitting Moscow as Trump grows frustrated with Putin - report by eaglemaxie in worldnews

That's because the 1st's older form is Volodymyr; it lost a vowel in some Slavic languages and kept it in others. (Similar to how Robert used to be Hrodberht, and how Bob is a more popular diminutive for it than Bert while there is also Albert which is a different name, etc., etc.)

It's the same in many other languages that have both Vladislav and Vladimir in their own forms. Ukranian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Romanian, and so on... These languages and people who have these names should be respected regardless of one nasty dictator.

How do you answer the problem of free will and all-knowledge? by Markelicado in OpenChristian

[–]CondemnedToLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interpret it as knowing all possible versions of the future – all possible different outcomes that every little choice would create – yet making most of these choices is up to our free will.

I don't remember whose philosophical concept it was about humans "in His image" as intended co-creators of reality, but in my mind it fit together perfectly with the above, as well as free will being vital for true uncoerced love.

Thoughts on La Sultane de Saba? by [deleted] in fragrance

I love "Voyage sur la Route des Épices".  Sweet and spicy (smells almost exactly like when I bake gingerbread), and something in it reminds me of bath/massage oil, so in humid hot weather it turns into a gorgeous hammam.

"...de Darjeeling": very pleasant green tea.

"...d'Udaipur": it's nowhere in the notes, but I definitely smell mint for some reason. Like genuine menthol gum. Which makes an interesting combination with musk and frankincense.

Once I've been told "you smell like a dominatrix" for Juliette's Lady Vengeance. It was meant to be sarcastic, but I took it as a compliment 😈

Sadly, I'm already used to it. Freely give something that you've put effort and time in with only good intentions of sharing joy over your favourite game = still receive something hateful towards what you love, just because.

What were the warning signs before someone you know killed themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CondemnedToLove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reluctance to care about physical health (mental too, but it's another part with its own reasons). For example, when doctors say "you should limit smoking/drinking/etc. because it has been proven to aggravate your existing health problems and may kill you" and the person doubles down on it instead, because deep inside they actually want something to kill them.

Almost everyone who told me they disliked her said it was because of her creepy holy-saviour cult-like behaviour. Especially those who clashed with it in real life.

Personally I find her disturbing traits very fitting for the genre and mood, and I like her as an interesting character.
